Jisrun swallowed and just sat there, his face falling into a dark, blank stare. He cleared his throat, his eyes dull. "I...it's hard to talk about it, Aella. I don't know if...I've never talked about it since ..." The tears were back. He shook his head to rid himself of the offending liquid as it fell down his nose onto the ground.
Aella understood. It was kinda like when people talked about her mother Azar. Aella nodded. "Ok... whipe those tears up..." Aella wriggled over and licked the tears off of his face.
Jisrun was grateful,
"It was just a few months ago." He said softly.
"Some Darkpack scum attacked her from behind...I could not reach her in time..."
He couldn't hol back a sob. "Girvan went after the one who did it but...she escaped. I nearly went insane that day...it wasn't until I met you that my life started to clear once more. She was so lovely, Poppy was...kind, understanding, she always knew what to say to melt my heart..."
He smiled at the memory, "Like you."
