Her whimper of pain was drowned by an alarm call from the dominate male of the herd, sending his herim stampeding away. Scar ran after them, howling in frustration and anger. Piper cowered on the ground, pain drowning her disappointment...fear for what her brother would think drowning her pain.
After a bit, Scar came padding back, the snarl on his face barely concealed. "Are you alright?" he asked.
"I....y...yes. I think so." Piper lied. She wasn't okay...Garron would probably be leaving now, thinking she had changed her mind. Her paw burned like fire. And she had failed once again in the hunt. Where was the hope she had just this morning?
Silent tears fell from her eyes as Scar helped her up and supported her weight.
He sighed as they started towards Pinepack once more.

Piper followed behind Scar humbly, he was carrying a pair of rabbits he had caught on the way back. She was limping heavily, grimacing every once in a while, the picture of woe-begone sorrow.
They entered the Den site and moved towards the fresh kill pile.
 
I doubt anybody is close to him or her except maybe Cluckins, but somebody is going to die soon.
