It had been two more weeks.
Fourteen days since she had last seen Garron...
Fourteen days of utter misery and hopelessness as, slowly but surely, she failed more and more tasks, some of them ridiculously simple. She was just to exhausted...to drained, metally and physically to do all that was required of her.
Today, Scar had finally sent her out alone to hunt. He was busy hunting with the alphas again. But Piper didn't know if she even wanted to try and find Garron...in her state...he probably wouldn't even recognized her. He would also probably think she had left him for good...never wanting to see him again...be with him.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
She still was limping from her sprained paw as she slowly wandered the territory listlessly...not knowing where her paw's took her. Unwittingly moving closer and closer to loner land.

Garron had waited... and waited... and waited a little more. He'd given up hoping that Piper would come to see him, and he didn't understand why she'd suddenly stopped. I told her I'd always be there for her... guess she didn't feel the same.

He climbed up onto the top of a boulder and let out a long, lonely howl.

Piper barely heard the howl through her ringing ears...but hear it she did.
Her head shot up and she raced for the sound. Forgoten was her injured paw...forgotten her brother...forgotten her wiriness and stress....
Garron...
She raced into the clearing stumbling to a stop.

Garron didn't see Piper. After a few long moments, he hopped down and began to pad off into the woods.

Pipes saw him. A strangled gasp was all she could force from her disobediang throat. "Garron! " she finally sobbed, her voice barely over a whisper. Her whole body was shaking. Was if from the sxaustion that plaited her day and night....ir fear?

Russet toyed with a pine cone in a dreary manner. His tail shifted right to left whenever he tossed his toy. He let a blow of air through his lips, then felt a spurt of energy and showed his teeth to the menacing brown, prickly thing, and tackled it to the ground. Once his shoulder hit the dirt though, his energy was gone. He flopped on his back and sighed.

Garron froze when he heard Piper's voice. Am I just hearing things? He wasn't sure if it really was her, or if it was just the wind, so he called out with uncertainty ringing in his voice, "Piper?"

Piper didn't know weather to laugh or cry...
she moved towards him as if in a dream. Her eyes wide and scared but full of happyness. It really was him...
"Garron..." she said a bit louder. Her voice cracking

But Garron wasn't sure what he was feeling. "Piper, why didn't you come see me?" He couldn't tell if he was happy to see her, or hurt that, at least in the way he'd perceived things, blown him off.

Piper didn't know what to tell him. Still as kind as ever, she couldn't blame her brother solely for keeping them apart. He had just been trying to help her be a better wolf. If she nascent failed perhapse she could have meet Barron and everything would have been back the way it was. "I tried Garron ...I really did. I know it sounds like a lame accuse but...but I just couldn't ...come. I have been so buisy with training and hunting that I haven't been able to slip away...Scar always watches me...I tried so hard to be a better wolf..." the tears flowed freely now...her heart opening up to him. "But I just CAN'T.! Ill never be nore than the useless omega. I failed you...and I failed scar....and I failed my pack." Piper hung her head in shame. Waiting for the dismissive words that would send her away. Garron would never want to see her again. She didn't deserve him...

As Piper spoke, Garron felt guilt seeping into his heart. It wasn't her fault she hadn't been able to get away... "I'm sorry, Piper... But you didn't fail me. Because you can't." He rushed over to her and nudged her head back up with his muzzle. "Come with me, Piper." He tried to mask the desperation in his voice, but the attempt was futile. "We'll go to Stonepack or something, and we won't have to worry about Scar... or being apart."

Piper looked into his eyes as he spoke those words. Oh! There were no words to express how they made here feel. At least none that could fully comprehend the relief and love and joy all pressed togeather into one.
But at Scars name a steely uneasiness gripped her soul. "He's..he is my brother....I....I...cant just leave him."
Her sunken, dulled, eyes stared at him widely. Her bone thin form shaking.

The fleeting joy and hope in Garron's eyes drained away, just like the color. How could he tell her that it was either him or Scar? He knew perfectly well who she'd choose; Garron was hurt by that, but he knew that that was the way things should be.. As much as he wanted to deny this fact, it was as clear as daylight that they walked two separate paths. All Garron said before he began to pad away was, "I'm sorry, Piper. Just... just know that I loved you."
