Klash walked all the way to the edge of the Darkpack territory, and started marking the borders. Their scent was growing sparse. He made a mental note to himself to come out and mark daily. All Klash could think about was those cute little pups. He couldn't believe they were his.
Klash was lost in thought, not even paying attention to where he was going. He was walking just along the edge of the border, up against Stonepack territory.
"You?!" Someone snarled.
Klash jumped and whipped around. There, just feet away, was his brother, Duke. Klash quickly took a few steps back. "Duke?"
Duke stepped towards him, an evil and viscious look on his face. His mind was racing. Just kill him now. Make him suffer. Rip his throat out. Duke kept walking towards him.
Klash kept backing up. "Duke, please." He begged. He backed into a tree. He was cornered.
Duke laughed. "Please what? Why should I show you mercy after what you did?." He snarled. His heart was pounding, his blood boiling in his veins. "For two years I've waited for this day. The day that I get to make you suffer for what you did. Every day I look at my sister and I remember what you did to her, and to the rest of those pups. Our brothers and sisters! For what? To make you feel better about yourself? Killing innocent litte pups. That takes a lot of strength, doesn't it?" He laughed bitterly. "Look at you. Cowering up against a tree. I always knew you were weak. No wonder you went crawling to those darkpack filth." He spit the words out like venom.
Klash growled. "They are not filth! They have been more of a family to me then you ever were." He took a few steps towards Duke, their muzzle's almost touching. "You say I'm weak? Who was it that almost died that day? Not me. Who walked away without so much as a scratch?" He snarled the words in Duke's face.
Duke had heard enough. He snarled and lunged for Klash, knocking him to the ground. Klash used his hind legs to kick Duke away and sprung to his feet.
"I don't want to fight you Duke. I have a mate and pups to get back to. I suggest you leave, before you get hurt." Klash said with a growl.
Duke laughed bitterly. "Who would want to mate with you? She must be blind, or deaf. Maybe both. That or she doesn't know who you really are. You're a murderer, and a traitor." He was shaking with anger.
Klash lost his patience. He grabbed Duke by the shoulder and threw him to the ground. "Don't you talk about my mate like that. She knows everything about me." He snarled. "And she doesn't care. I've moved on. Why can't you?"
Duke kicked Klash in the stomach, and Klash fell to the ground, gasping for air. "I'm not going to move on until I make you pay for what you did." He snarled and grabbed Klash around the throat with his powerful jaws.
