Farther across the clearing Ebony, Ash and Sierra were locked in a furious battle. Even though it was one blind she-wolf and an old wolf against him, the young Darkpack beta was having a difficult time making any progress. Ash would dive in to attack, and at the right moment, while listening to all the scuffles, Sierra would lunge at Ebony and cut long gashes down his sides. Ebony howled in pain and rage and would make an angry attack, which would result in more painful scratches, from Ash.
A gray blur whizzed into the heart of the fighting threesome, her lips pulled back to reveal every blood-stained tooth in her maw. Her yellow eyes danced and sparkled with vengeance and the excitement of battle.

(( Anyone have a Stonepack wolf Akira can fight? ))

Akira's dark gray and white fur was slick with scarlet blood, but only half of it was hers; the other half was the blood of the enemies she'd encountered so far in battle. She was still going strong, and showed no signs of slowing down. Her yellow eyes scanned the densite (which had prtty much turned into a battlefield) for a new opponent; her eyes fell upon the motionless forms of Quartz and Nebrivo, and the grieving form of Cedar. She scoffed silently under her breath, and moved on, with a growl rumbling in her chest. She was itching for a real fight.

( Echo? )

"You know, I'd not let my guard down if I was you," he added, again. His voice was low and smooth, and not the least bit threatening, though it held a hint of a tone that said he knew she couldn't hurt him.
Cedar's head sank slowly, until she was almost in a the position of a subordinate wolf submitting to an alpha. "Not any more," she choked as she turned quickly and started to run. Do it, she thought, daring the Darkpack wolf. Chase me down and kill me. I don't care...I won't do this anymore.

Zara tried to move away but was delayed. She shook away the minor pain and reached down. She grabbed his leg and gave a strong jerk, trying to make him fall.

Klash hit the ground hard. He winced and then locked his jaws around Zara's leg and pulled, hoping to bring her down with him.

Willow's bloody form lay in a heap in the middle of the battleground, her once sparkling amber eyes now glazed and dull with death. Fyra stood next to it, growling at all the wolves who passed by and kept her teary eyes peeled for Cody.

Cody's weakened form came limping through the hoards of fighting wolves. Blood slicked his black coat flat against his body; his right ear had been torn right off, and countless slashes and cuts peppered his pelt, spilling rivulets of blood into his fur. His gray eyes were dull with the fresh wound that had been torn in his heart from learning that Willow had been a spy all along. But when he saw her, lying motionless on the other side of the clearing, his eyes flickered with fear. He felt his heart sinking like a stone in a lake, and everything else was blocked out. The battle seemed to disappear around him.

"Willow...?" he breathed. Despair seemed to yank him forwards, and he surged over to Willow's side. Tears sparked at the corners of his eyes, and he prodded her side frantically with his paws. "No... No no no, Willow, wake up..."

But he knew, deep down, that the wolf he had loved so dearly would never move again.

I never told you... that I loved you...

(( What Hurts The Most by Rascal Flatts fits this scene perfectly. ))

(I would, but I don't have a Stonepack wolf, and I don't want to be one of those people that makes a wolf during a battle.)

Quote: The wolf didn't waste a second. He'd had fun toying with her, but now he had a job to do. He raced alongside Cedar, snapping at her face as he easily outpaced her. "You let them die, you know! You worthless wolf, no good for your own pack! How can you call yourself a member when you cant even protect your friends?!" he snarled. His words were cruel and he spat them with much zealousness.

Oh gosh, somehow you always write these scenes perfectly.

The silver she-wolf came toppling down with a yelp of surprise. As soon as she hit the ground, Zara clawed at him with her hind leg, hoping to lay some blows.
