Piper made it back to her den and dove through the hole she made, covering it up loosely with dirt. She pretended to have just woken up and went out of her den.
Scar ran over, "That was quite a long nap." He said suspiciously.
Piper smiled at him and said stumbling, "I...I was just tired. And is was such a surprise to see you...."
Scar's eyes narrowed but his voice was sweet and soft, "A good surprise, I hope?"
Piper smiled, "Of course! So...um...do you want to look around?"
Scar rolled his eyes. "It's getting kinda dark for that. Besides...I have already accustomed myself to the densite. Tomorrow you can show me the territory. Are you hungry?"
Piper nodded but she wasn't really...her appetite had left her long before.
Scar escorted her over to the fresh kill pile and watched closely as she picked a small shrew and began to eat slowly. He sat strait next to her, his icy eyes wandering over the densite, watching wolves come and go as the sun set in the west.
