Kodiak rose to his paws and stalked out of his den, carrying an intimidating air Witt him over his shoulders. The massive blue-gray and white he-wolf scanned the densite through narrowed, piercing ice blue eyes. The dark gray and white form of his mate, Atra, followed him out. He drew his tongue over her ear, and began making the rounds around the densite to make sure that no one was being lazy or fighting, while Atra climbed to the top of the alpha's rock.
"Atra?" Jade asked, keeping her green eyes low as to not appear like a challenge. "I've got someone who wants to join."

Echo nodded and tucked her tail between her legs in submission.

Vashti crept back out of the bushes. "Teru is trying to catch one herself, but I am here. Your son did well. But was sloppy on the tackle. The next time he won't freeze up."

Klash nodded. "Thanks for watching them, Vashti." He looked down at Axel. "So, you had some trouble killing this thing?" He nudged the rabbit with his paw.

"My teeth are too small." Axel grumbled. "I had a hard time killing it."

Klash smiled. "Next time, you should try suffocating it with your paws. That's what I did when I killed my first rabbit." He placed Axel's paws on the rabbits neck to demonstrate. "You push down hard, right here, and don't release your hold until it stops moving."

Axel smiled a mischievous little smile and nodded to show he understood.

Faedon's brows furrowed in concern as she observed the uproar about what had happened with Duke from near the mouth of her den. She had a rabbit under her paws, and Maple was helping herself to a few bites of it as well. Where is Phoenix? Faedon pondered, before she growled. He's never around anymore. Lately Faedon had been getting very frustrated with her mate; he was almost never around, and the few times he was, he always seemed to be busy with something else. Too busy for his family, huh?
A gray he-wolf with hunter green flecks in his yellow eyes walked past, smiling at Faedon as he did. He, too, was concerned with Phoenix's almost pattern-like absences, what with a family for Faedon to raise.

Kyra and Leah sat at their den entrance, watching the Emeraldpack densite.

Pitch sat near Charlotte, waiting to see if Duke would live or not.

Rose sat, watching her pups. She looked out the entrance again, checking on the activity outside.
Lyric ran around her siblings and pounced on one.

Arwen stood and shook out her grey pelt, then walked out of Tundrapacks densite to go hunting.

Garron stalked into the mouth of his den with a fish clenched in his jaws. "Are you hungry?" he asked Piper through the fish.
(okay....since the last few posts were blunt I'll clarify what is happening.))

It was the next day. The sun had set as Garron had taken Piper to his den in the loner lands where she had woken before the sunrise. As it's pink and orange hues melted from the darkness and into a faint, light blue, she sat alone, coming to grips with what had happened as Garron went out to hunt.
Oh, Garron.
She had though he had died at her paws...his mother still thought so...but he was here! Neither of them were well off...the strain of last night and the stress from the last weeks catching up with them, as well as the injuries both had sustained. But through the wee, dark hours before the sun, they had sat close together, consoling each other with loving words, awaiting the light of a new era to dawn. Who but the rocks and trees knew of the sacred promise they made that night? The would never leave each other again. Through good or ill...till death do them part.
Piper sighed and smiled, her life, her heart, her soul was finally whole. Bound to Garron forever. Nothing stood in their way now. They could live at peace...
But something still managed to dull her smile.
Scar had fallen to his death, and with him, the rest of her family. Garron is my family now...she berated herself. But though she knew that, she couldn't get over the fact that she had attacked her own brother...no matter what he had done...it just didn't feel right. But that wasn't what was really bothering her.

Garron walked into the mouth of the den, a freshly caught fish in his maw. "Are you hungry?" he asked Piper through the fish.
She smiled up at him, she still didn't have the strength to rise. "Yes, thank you." she motioned with her tail, beckoning him to sit next to her and share their meal, remembering with a smile the first time they had met. As she ate, she reached over and nuzzled him, just to make sure she wasn't dreaming. She wanted to laugh for joy, but something was still holding her back.

Leo huffed as Lyric pounced him. He rolled out from under here and swatted at her with his paw grumpily. He had been sleeping!
