Nike held his head high, but inside he cringed as he passed other wolves with looks of fright, or distaste.
Sierra smiled embarrassed. She curled her head around, hugging her mate tightly.
"See all it takes is skill and concentrating, I bet your parents would be proud." barked Mahala.Safina darted after the scared rabbit, and pounced.... she caught it in her jaws, killing. "I did it!" She barked.
Nike lowered his head.West sighed and relaxed.
Blizzard stopped outside the den. "Go on." He smiled at Nike.
Nike lowered his head.
Sierra jerked her head up, and wildly scrambled to get away. Nike closed his eyes tightly. "Sierra, please. I ask your forgiveness, I was wrong, I couldn't take all this pressure. I'm so sorry." He fell to his knees next to her. Sierra's frightened expression melted, and she licked her brother. "I forgive you Nike." She murmured, and laid her head on his neck.
"See all it takes is skill and concentrating, I bet your parents would be proud." barked Mahala.
"I would be if you hadn't directly disobeyed me!" Kara snarled walking from between the trees. She snarled at Safine, cuffing her on the snout.
Safina whimpered and laid down. "I.....I....I'm sorry mom." She whined.
Kara snarled at Mahala, "You my not have parents, but safina does, and around here pups listen to their elders!" She turned to Safina, and nipped her the back end. "Go Home!" She barked.
Safina scrambled to her feet, keeping her head low and her tail tucked up. She walked beside her mother as they headed back to the dens.
'Wait Kara Safina said it was fine she came out here. I didnt know sorry and I do listen to my elders." barked Mahala.
Sierra looked up, "Nike, you need to talk to dad."West snarled at Nike and stormed out of the den. Blizzard watched the young wolf stomp past him and sighed. "What's wrong?"
West whirled snarling. "What's wrong? What's wrong!" He barked. "I won't forgive him! He....he....he made Aki leave!" His voice quivered with a sob, that he quickly hid. "Aki was like my father, he was the only here who trusted me." He was trying hard to hide the pain in his voice. "And now he is gone..... thanks to him!" His voice filled with anger again.
