Atra licked the blood from the slice Shadow had given her on the muzzle. She turned to River and spat, "Next time I see that wolf's face, it won't be pretty!"

"Neither when I." he growled, staring after Shadow. He shook out his fur and licked a scratch, extremely annoyed with the world.
