Jasmine ran around looking for Lupus. He ran to the lake and howled for him. She stood close to the lake.

West raced ahead, not sure where he was going. He ran, his heart breaking, his vision blurred. All of a sudden the world ended and he plunged 20ft into the river. He paddled to the surface and gasped, the water was fridged. He struggled to stay above the water, as it rushed and pounded down river. He yelped loudly, trying to cling to a slippery rock. He was washed under. He paddled furiously to get air, but was tossed like a ragdoll. He scrapped the bottom, and pushed off, bobbing to the surface. He paddled hard, trying to get to shore. He finally managed to drag himself up on a rock in the middle of the river. He collapsed, panting and shivering. A good two miles down river.

Sierra saw a flash of his tail as he raced away. She decided to follow, and loped behind him. She lost sight of him, but followed his scent. She suddenly heard a yelp. "West?!" She howled. She charged ahead. Suddenly she saw the ridge and tried to stop, but she slid n the pebbles under her paws, and scrabbled to keep from falling. "West!" She yelped. She flailed her back legs, but started to lose her grip on the edge of the ridge. Her claws scraped the ground, and she fell into the river. She was swept below the surface, and hit her head hard on a rock. She saw stars, and froze. She was knocked against another rock, and paddled to what she thought was the surface. Water shot up her nose, and she panicked. Swimming hard she finally reached the top, and suddenly saw a grey figure on the shore of the river. "West!" She gurgled.

"Oh nothing, this is posionous" Yuki said and nodded at Nyx then followed them

"Great" Shadow murmered

"Can I help?" Sage asked

Nyx sighed despite herself, "How big do you think it is? I don't want to waste my strength getting there if there are twenty elk or so."

you should read wolves of the beyond its about dire wolves its a pretty good books and there is a series called gardians of ga'hoole there is 15 amazing books

Just finished the whole series. Had to do extra chores to buy the last book but it was worth it. I like gray wolves more, though, their size makes it more challenging.)
