Lupus saw The wolf come for his throat, but he wasn't quick enough, he hit the ground dazed.

Shadow and his pack were patroling his territory for hunters, he heared a car screeching away in the distance, that was the last of them gone, suddenly he heard a rumble, it was the reindeer returning from there distant feeding ground, the whole forest began to bustle with life, as the pack returned to the den they came across a bison cow and her calf, soon followed by the rest of the herd, she made a mock charge so the pack retreted around the side of the herd and back to the den area
