Ebony breathed heavily. His side rose up and down, up and down. He groaned as he licked a gaping wound on his belly. He shot up when he thought of West. He heaved himself up to his den to find the pup sitting listening intently. "Hello, West" Ebony smiled.

"Hi." West started but stopped when he saw the injuries on Ebony. "Are you okay?"

Lupus woke, he was soaking wet and freezing. He dragged his sore body from the river and collapsed on the bank.
 
Luna limped into the den with Ebony and West. She dropped to the ground and tended her wounds, "your mother did this to me," she growled to West, "and your father."
"Really??" West gaped at the wounds.

"Your mother and father did this (me licked his wounds) to me too".
