Dove ran to shadow's aid, leaping from the ground she wrangled the deer down grabbing it by the neck and wrestling it to the ground. The deer kicked with it's front feet, pummeling Dove in the chest with it's front hooves. She clamped down with all her might but could not find a killing grip, the deers kicks were starting to knock the breath out of her. She looked desperately over to Shadow, killing a deer was tougher than she thought.

Dove took a risk and moved her grip further up the deers neck, feeling that she had found the right spot she crunched down as hard as she could. The deer started losing strength and collapsed. Dove lay there, gasping for breath, feeling triumphant but not yet willing to let go, worried the deer might jump up again.
