Raine smiled, determination flaring in her eyes, which were like blue chips of the coldest ice.
 
Breeze was resting by the river, her head on her paws as a beam of sunlight shone on her back, making it gleam. She let out a sigh of contentment, slipping off into a light sleep.

Jasper stood by the waters edge, down stream from Breeze, and watched two silver fish twisting in the water. He lunged at one, but his foot gave way, and he plunged into the water.
