Nikki quicky came back with a bunch of very soft moss in her mouth. "Move!" She shouted to the wolves who had crowded around Senkah's den. She gently slid the moss under Mari's body, before she and Senkah gently started kneading Mari's body to help the pups come along.

Sierra scurried to the dens entrance, listening. Thunder sat down outside, with Elan next to him. Rain padded up and nudged her son who was pacing outside of the den. Rain hurried inside. "I heard Mari is having trouble." She said gently.
Mari howled in pain, and kicked out with her legs. "I need a stick." She panted.
 
Nikki ran out and came back with a stick. "Here," she nosed it to Mari gently while Senkah continued kneading Mari's stomach.

Mari clamped her jaws down the stick like a steel trap. Small growls and yelps emitted from her mouth. "Where's Aki?" Mari panted. "He walked to the river. Someone please, go find him." Mari growled as another contraction started.

"I will!" West barked and bolted off into the woods

Rain nuzzled her gently. "Shhh Mari, someone will go look for him. Keep calm. It's alright." Rain said quietly. Mari lay still panting heavily. She nodded, then cringed as a large grey pup slid into the moss. She whined, and turned to try and lick the pup.

West raced alonng the river bank, sniffing "AKI!?' He howled. He put his nose to the ground and raced towards the mountains, 'what would he be doing way out here?' He thought as he trekked deeper inot the mountain range. ''AKI!?" West howled again.

Sierra listened as her mates pawsteps faded.

Mari whined, and flopped back down on the moss again. Nike picked up the pup, and started licking him. Rain started to knead Mari's stomach alongside Senkah. "Your doing great Mari." She murmured.
