"What?!" Mari whimpered.  "No, Aki, please, you can't leave me again.... we have pups, and I can't bear for you to leave me again!" Her voice became a plea.  Then she straightened.  "I will go where ever you go.  We all will.  Us and our pups." Mari's jaw was set in determination. 

Sierra turned. "West!" 
Nike whirled around, his lip curled in disgust.  Then he hurried to his den, "Senkah?" He called, his voice cracking.

Aki stared into his mate's eyes. "If we leave....." he paused "I know a place we could go, but it could be dangerous." He thought of Kara, and her pack.

West lowered himself as Nike passed. Then he turned to Sierra. "He hates me." He whispered. Then he told her the story of what had happened in the forest between her family and Aki and him.

Mari returned his steady gaze. "Where?" She asked.

"Oh West." Sierra murmured. Looking away she asked. "What are we going to do?"

"I know a territory beyond emeraldpack." He said, his tone turned serious " we need to get the pups now! It'll be a long trek around emerald and will probably have to rest at some point."

"I don't know" West whispered. "Maybe you can talk to him?"

Mari's ears flicked back. "So soon? Oh Aki, I-" Mari bit herself mentally for arguing. "Yes. Lets go." She turned, and picked up her pace to a steady lope.

"Nike? Of course I will." Sierra said reassuringly.
