North kneaded her belly, and the pup came; it was a she-wolf, barely alive.

Rain sadly stepped back, staring mournfully at the dead mother. Then she turned, and frantically licked the tiny pup.

Aki looked at Mari, then at Lupus. "No, we aren't going to kill you, or banish." Aki sighed. "We were simply looking for a land to call our home."

Kara looked at him. "I thought you were beta in stonepack?" She said.

"I was." Aki said, we left because our alpha is young wolf, that I don't respect."

Kara looked at Safina and Lupus. "Okay." She said, lowering body posture, Lupus followed suit and submitted too.

Aki turned and smiled at Mari. "We did it." He whispered "we are alphas!"

Mari beamed back, then licked her mate. "Aki, the pups." She whined. "Do you think it would be okay?"

Mari beamed back, then licked her mate.  "Aki, the pups." She whined.  "Do you think it would be okay?" 

"You have pups?" Kara asked.
Aki nodded, he nudged his mate and smiled reassuringly. "Will you help us move them? They are tired from the journey." Aki asked, turning towards where they had left the pups.
Kara nodded and stood to follow, safina smiled and race up to Mari. "How old are they? Can we play together?" She asked wagging her tail.
Lupus slowly followed, staying quiet, thinking. 'I'm almost glad he showed up, he is strong wolf and keep this pack together, but will he ever trust me?'

Mari smiled at Kara, and sprinted to her pups. "They are still young, and still drink milk." She smiled at Safina, and ducked inside the hollow. Summer was curled around Tala fast asleep. Foal stood, his chest puffed out, standing guard. "Momma!" He shrieked when he saw her.
