Nikki's ears lifted, then drooped again. "Why won't he ask me, then?!" She snapped to herself. "He knows that I love him! I've asked him before, and he didn't answer! Don't I at least deserve an answer?!" Nikki grit her teeth, whining sadly. "Doesn't he care?!" As she hadn't exactly watched the volume of her voice, it drifted right back out.

"Nikki..." Autumn only watched her sister sadly. She didn't really know what to tell her; she'd never gone through this with Elan. She nuzzled her sister affectionately, and Nikki sighed.
Chayton grimaced. "Elan.... I absolutely adore her. She's wonderful.... but I-" he cut himself off, looking angrily at the floor. Elan sidled up to him, putting a large paw on his brother's shoulders. "Ask her, Chayton. You'll be glad you did." he told him in a hushed tone. Chayton nodded. "I will Elan.... I will."

Nikki left Autumn and Elan's den, going to sit by the river. She swirled her paws around in the water, watching the tiny fish frantically swim away. A breeze ruffled her fur, and she looked up at the sky. The clouds were gathering, and becoming darker. The wind carried a smell of rain, and many wolves in Thunderpack raised their heads at the sudden scent.
Chayton padded up behind her, "Hey Nikki....." he said softly, sitting down. "Nikki... I.." he sighed, then looked deep into her eyes. "I've put this off too long. I love you. Would you be my mate?" he asked hopefully.

Nikki blinked slowly, almost as if she didn't believe he had just said that. Then, she shot to her paws, nuzzling him. "YES! Yes, Chayton, I will!"
Chayton's eyes rolled backwards, and for a minute it looked as if he was going to faint. He staggered away, then licked her face. "Thank you." he mumbled.

Nikki's tail wagged like crazy.
Chayton beamed, spinning around while jumping on his toes. "Thank you! I love you!" he whispered while he spun.

Nikki grinned happily, nuzzling him and bounding around like a pup.
Chayton jumped into the river, splashing her with water.

"Hey!" She shouted jokingly, leaping in after him.
Chayton uttered a playful growl, nosing water in her direction.

Nikki giggled, splashing water at him.

Autumn chuckled, padding to Elan's side as she watched them. "Guess it turned out well," she remarked.
Chayton growled playfully, whipping his tail and flinging water at her.

"You guess?" Elan laughed, cocking a brow at her. "Yep... seems like we were all meant for each other." he said thoughtfully.

Nikki swished her forelegs, making waves that splashed everywhere.

"I guess so," Autumn said, nuzzling him.
Chayton splashed to a deeper part of the river, then leaped, and did a belly flop. (XD)

Elan licked his mate's nose, when suddenly, Timber growled and latched his jaws onto his father's ear. "Ow, ow, ow!" Elan laughed, rolling onto his belly. Meadowlark followed close behind, and licked her mother.

Scarlet sighed, pushing her nose into his fur and breathed in his scent. It calmed her, and almost right away she fell into a deep sleep.

Wind licked her forehead, before he started to doze away himself.
It seemed like almost a moment later, Scarlet awoke from her sleep. She didn't know what had awakened her, so she checked the sun, and realized she had slept for an hour. Then she laid her head back down and closed her eyes. Another minute later a pain so sharp she had never experienced shot through her side. She gritted her teeth and winced, doubling over. "Ah... Wind!" she panted, her voice raspy.

Wind awoke. He snapped to full alert, raising to his paws. "Are you alright, Scarlet? What's wrong?" He asked, concerned.
"The pups!" she squeaked, stumbling as another pain shot through her. Her eyes were full of pain as she stared at him.

Summer stirred, uttering a low moan. Elki pressed his body against her, curling around their pups. 
"Oh I don't know how much strength I have now." Mari murmured, closing her eyes. She leaned against her mate, breathing in his scent. 

Aki supported her weight. He laid his head gently on hers, a small smiled creeping over his face. His was a grandfather. He let out a small chuckle. But still sadness flickered in his eyes. "Mari," he whispered pulling away, he knew he would regret asking her, but he had to. "Do you think we made a mistake leaving stone pack behind?"

Sahara pushed her happy smile down, and narrowed her eyes at him. "Go back to the nest. With all your hobbling around you'll open the wound again!" she snapped, but could barely keep her voice angry. She was too happy to be mad. 

Rebel let out a short airy chuckle. But still heartache clouded his eyes. He was becoming attached to her, and more and more he almost didn't want to go back to emeraldpack. He sighed as he laid back down in the hollow. "May ask why you won't ever join a pack again?"

Luna nuzzled her pups, on of the few moments she had ever showed any kind of ttenderness. She smiled at Lupus. "Apollo and Isis." She whispered. Lupus's eyes filled with pride, he had high hopes for his pups.
He nuzzled Luna and then set out on a hunt. He sprinted towards loner land, hoping to find some deer by the marshes.

Mari let out a sigh. "Aki.. I think we made the right decision. We wanted to settle the land, and hard luck came our way." she murmured quietly, her eye lids falling. Then she went limp, sleeping soundly. 

Aki smiled, he was glad that after all they had been through, that she still had faith, and that he still had her. He curled around her, licking her cheek before falling asleep as well.
