Ruthy glanced at her. "Everything is going to be ok." She said quickly. She carefully laid down, her ears were pinned and her eyes were wide with fear.

Jaci nodded. "Right." she breathed in a trembling voice. sudennly a gunshot splintered the air near the cave. Jaci leapt to her feet. her eyes panciked her heart beating so fast she thought it would give out any second. she shook, the bolted from the cave. "THEY FOUND US!" she screamed her voice full of panic, she tore into the forest blindly.

Sierra glanced back at Rebel and froze. Her heart jumped, and she forced herself to look away. She knew he was just being protective. 
Sahara looked up at Rebel, whined, and curled up. Although she was terribly frightened, her heart beat with less force. She felt safe. 

Rebel took a deep breath, calming himself. He still stood over Sahara, his eyes scanning the forest.

Mari felt tears brim in her eyes. "No, Aki. No! You can't go!" she curled her body around him, blocking him off. "No.." she told him softly, pleading with her eyes. 

"I have to find him." Aki whispered softly. His eyes held her gaze. "I love you Mari." He licked her cheek. "I'll love you forever." He nuzzled her, and began to pad away

Nike weaved through the brush like mad. He hurled himself over a log, thundering away once on the other side. 

West followed, as he cleared the log he caught sight of Sierra through the trees. He knew something was wrong, why weren't they moving, why were the stopped in the open

Ruthy jumped to her feet as she quickly darted out of the cave, her eyes flashed with fear as she sped through the forest. Her entire body trembled with fear, she couldn't think properly anymore.

Jaci smashed through thick forest, branches snapping her in the face, scraping her muzzle and nose. She didn't care, she charged on, her foot caught a rock and she tumbled wildly down a hill, landing with a dull thud in thick grassy mud by the marsh.
