"Faolen's hurt!" She cried, then glanced around. "Aki isn't here, I need to find him!" she barked. Faolen stirred. "No mom.. he said no." he panted then went limp with fatigue. Mari knew Aki didn't want her in danger... She paced the rock cliff while Elki helped Faolen and Gray with their wounds. Vivid images of her mate corned with guns to his head flashed strongly in her mind. 

Gray limped over to his mother. "He'll be okay." He assured. "Dad can take care of himself."

Nike snarled as the man punched his face. He reeled backwards and got a kick to the hips again. Nike lunged and grabbed the man's neck, taking him to the ground, and never to rise again. 
He panted with exhaustion and pain and backed up to West. "That's all of them...." he gasped. "Lets ransack their denning site." he said. 

West smiled, his adrenaline still pumping strong.
Aki stood in the middle of the camp, a deep anger welled up in him, he hated humans, this was the second time he had faced them, he looked over at Nike and West. Halted by memories he stood there, rembereing how Nike had just been a pup the last they came. Seeing how much West had grown, being an outsider and now right hand to Nike. He sighed, walking over to the two-legs food pile.

Nike watched Aki our of the corner of his eye. Aki was once his friend, but now they were bother alphas and had packs to lead and care for. Times were tough, and you never knew how a wold could change due to that. He winced a horrid pain ripped through his back legs. Nevertheless he jumped up and yanked a large buck down from some hooks. He yanked it toward the young fawn he had pulled down earlier, then went for the smaller prey. He eyed Aki, then gestured toward the animals. Aki was still a good friend of his, just..... distant. Aki eyed Nike, his eyes full of concerned, he wondered if Nike was still that same angry, irresponsible, pup that had run him out so many moons ago. Suddenly his temperment temperament shifted, he realized he was on stonepack land, and so was his whole family, he eyed both wolves, then forced himself to relax. "Hello Nike." He said, lowering his head ever so slightly, to show respect. "Hello West." He smiled at the pup. "Hi Aki." West barked, his tail wagging. "How are you." He asKed.
"I'm good, Summer just had a pup, I'm Grandfather." He said proudly.
"What about Tala?" West smiled.
Aki's eyes dropped. "She was killed when Darkpack took part of our land."
Aki padded up to the kill pile, searching for something he could easily drag back, he jumped snarling as something caught his eye.

Nike listened to this, and his heart broke for the alpha. His pack was so small. Nike suddenly jumped back when Aki snarled. "What is it?" he asked in a low tone, his eyes studying the bushes. 

out from the pile of dead animals Aki pulled a tiny helpless pup, he was half dead, covered in scratches, his coat matted with blood. Aki placed the tiny pup on the ground.
the pup growled weakly, staring at three large males.

"They killed my family!" Koda let out a tiny pup snarl.
West gazed at the pup sadly. "Well they are dead now." He whispered.
Aki grabbed a small elk fawn and began dragging it away.
"Wait Aki." West barked.
Aki looked up, "Bye West, Nike." He turned to grab the fawn again. "I need to get back to my pack, my mate is worried and my sons are injured." He grabbed the meat and dissapeared into the forest.
