West looked at Nike, a sudden pang in his heart. "Actually Nike, could we maybe see if Sierra wants to raise him." He looked at Nike, the cast his eyes down. "Its just......" he wondered whether to tell him or not. "Nike, Sierra can't have pups, but don't tell her I said anything." His voice trembled with sadness for his mate. He looked up at Nike, wondering what the Alpha would say.

Nike froze and turned. His eyes widened slightly and his ears drooped for his sister. "She can't?" he echoed, then looked down. "Oh... West.. I'm.. I'm so sorry." he said gently, then nodded. "If she wants to West, I would be more than happy to let her... Scarlet has enough pups on her paws." he chuckled sadly. 

West smiled "Thank You Nike!" He grabbed the elk fawn by the scruff and dragged it behind Nike as they trekked to the den sites.

He jumped up the ledge and looked down at West to see if he needed help. He was just about to set Koda down and help him drag the fawn up when he was nearly knocked off his paws. He saw a blur of white and grinned.

Sierra leaped out of the cave and grazed her shoulder against her brother's. She jumped down the rocks and tackled her mate to the ground. "Oh West! You're safe!" she yelped, frantically licking his face.

May, Maple, and Spirit quivered.

Scarlet hushed them by licking their faces. "Shh, shh, it's alright." she comforted them, then licked Wind's face.

Blizzard paced outside the den where Sitka and the pups hide. He could hear Silverwind and Shade whimper. Shade crawled out, shaking. "Dad?" He whispered. "What's going on?"
"They are called Hunters, Shade."He looked at his young son. "They are horrible beasts, that you must always be wary of. Never trust any two-leg."
Shade trembled. "Okay Dad."

West whined happily as he nuzzled his mate. "O Sierra." He whispered, smiling. Koda yelped, struggling to get out of Nike's jaws.

Quote: Sierra's ears pricked. She turned and saw Nike holding a pup. She frowned in curiosity. "West.. who's pup is that?" she asked, rolling off of West. She got to her paws ans shook off. Then she looked at West for an answer.
