Quote:
Akira watched Quartz collapse and struggle to her paws again with uncaring, hateful eyes. Her stance switched from mocking to one of a calculating killer; she wasn't joking anymore. This wolf and her mate would die... all of Stonepack would die, and she would make sure of that. It was time to end this. She crouched down, and prepared to lunge again...
(Can Nebrivo land a few good hits, now? :C )
(That's why I said "prepared"
)

Nebrivo leaped for her and aimed his jaws for an unexpected place: her left thigh. He needed every element on his side, including surprise.
Akira screeched in surprise as she rolled from the attack. She skidded on the ground, tearing her murderous gaze away from Quartz and back to Nebrivo. She cringed, and yelped as a loud *POP* came from her leg as it dislocated. She sucked in air in agony for a few seconds, before cracking her eyes open and sneering, "You rats are so annoying!" With her other back leg, she gave a powerful kick directed at his throat.
The kick was weak and Nebrivo almost dodged it, but not quite. He coughed as her claws raked his throat. "Well, you'd best hope you die a quick death," he growled. "Have fun trying to walk with a broken leg."
"Bones heal," she replied calmly, her tone dismissive. Her tone rose to a sneer as she added, "But let's see how you go around without a good eye! Those don't heal!" Then, without warning, she flew back up and lunged forward, snapping her jaws at Neb's face. Her leg was screaming with agony as she moved it, and she favored it a bit as she leaped.
Neb dodged. "You're hurt; stop wasting your energy." he jeered.
"Nah. At least I can actually fight when I am hurt, unlike you Stonepack wolves," she sneered. "Look at her over there. Take her, for instance.
So tough." She motioned with her nose towards Quartz, her eyes glinting.
"She's worse injured. Look at-- Nevermind. Y'know what, you're not worth my time, and definitely not worth any attention. Pulling Quartz out of her reach, he turned to his mate.
While Nebrivo was turned around, Akira seized her opportunity. Pushing through the pain in her leg, she lunged for Nebrivo, crashing towards him with her front legs outstretched. "Always keep your eyes on your enemy, pup. That's not even basic training; that's just
common sense!" she spat.
