Zero nodded. She followed him out into the forest, marking a tree every so often.

After a few minutes of searching for the perfect spot, Wildfire chose a moonlit clearing. "Zero," he murmured, pressing his snout to her cheek.

"Yes?" she murmured.

"Be my mate," he said simply. "I love you."

"I love you too, Wildfire." Zero nuzzled him. "Of course I will."

Wildfire sprung to his paws, grinning. "Race you back to our densite?"

Zero grinned. "Yup." She surged to her paws, and started sprinting back to the densite, taking long, graceful strides.

Wildfire sprinted ahead, disappearing into the alpha's den.

When are they going to attack? Willowsong thought, resting her head on her paws. Dark Pack hadn't been that specific.

"We hunt together, watch out for each other, mark the borders, fight together... that kind of stuff." Faedon stuck her nose inside a den. It was shadowed by a large, tall pine tree, with spiky, spindly branches. "This is my den." The floor was lined with downy and soft deer and rabbit pelts.
"Wow......" phoenix looked around. "Much better than mine." he chuckled.

"Heh. It's kind of small, though." Faedon padded inside. Her nest was lined with moss, and downy duck and goose feathers.
