Chapter 12

"Stonepack, ATTACK!"

Faedon was jolted awake by Senkah's howl. She raced to the entrance, her heart thrumming hard in her chest. What's going on?! She surveyed the clearing for intruders; sure enough, right on the east side, wolves were pouring in. Her heart plummeted when their scent hit her nose.

Darkpack?!

The clearing erupted in snarls as the wolves clashed. She saw her father charge for River, Darkpack's alpha male. Zero went after Nighta, the beta. Sierra lunged at a young he-wolf, their jaws snapping wildly. Ebony and Mari were also locked into combat. Still in shock, Faedon searched for her own opponent.

Her opponent must have found her, however. Faedon was knocked off her paws as a weight slammed into her. With a yelp, she skidded on the ground, pinned beneath her opponent. Her breath escaped her when she saw who it was.

"Cedar?!" she yelped.

Cedar's lips curled up into a smirk. "Fool!"

Faedon quickly turned from confused to furious. She was a spy all along?! That traitor! I thought she was my friend! She noticed that Cedar was hesitating. Growling ferociously, Faedon heaved herself up, using her body weight to throw Cedar off her. Since Cedar was taken off guard, they were sent rolling. Curling her lips in a snarl, Faedon snapped her jaws at Cedar's face, and along with a yelp from Cedar, a slash was torn open above her eye. Faedon struggled as she tried to push Cedar off her, since she was heavier than she was. Cedar suddenly snapped out of whatever trance she was in, and slashed at Faedon's face. Faedon flinched and fell back wih a yelp, stumbling onto her back and leaving her belly exposed. Fear rose in her throat as she saw Cedar ready to make a fatal move, when a black streak slammed into her. Cedar tumbled away, yelping.

"You!" Senkah roared. "I'll FLAY you if you even think about killing her, you filthy traitor!" Cedar cried out in pain as Senkah's fangs slashed across the side of her neck. Faedon breathed a sigh of relief, thanking her mother in her mind. She took this time to get back to her paws, shaking the dirt out of her pelt and ready to help her mother if needed. Cedar yelped again as Senkah took her by her leg, swinging her into the alpha's rock, before diving away into the battle again.

Faedon snarled, and crouched down, ready to launch herself at Cedar. Cedar whirled back around, and crashed into her faster than Faedon thought possible. Instinctively, Faedon snapped her jaws, catching Cedar's cheek. She howled in pain, and Faedon felt a spark of satisfaction. You deserve every bit of it, traitor!

Faedon's satisfaction was short lived, though, as Cedar snarled and bit down on her leg, swinging her towards Aki's den. Faedon gasped as she collided with the wall, having the air knocked out of her. Cedar padded forward slowly, then leaped, trying to slash her throat. Moving quickly, Faedon anticipated it and jumped aside. She remembered a move that her mother had taught her in the case of an attack, but couldn't help wondering, I'd think Darkpack would recognize a move like this... Nonetheless, she tried; lunging for Cedar, she went for the left. Mid-leap, she shifted her weight to go to the right, but stayed focused on her left. Much to her satisfaction, Cedar thought she was going to switch and leaned left, giving Faedon a perfect opening. She dug her fangs into Cedar's shoulder, and Cedar howled.

Faedon flinched in surprise as she felt another weight crash into her. She looked at who it was out of the corner of her eye; it was Luna, Atra's daughter. "Hello, cousin," Luna hissed.

Faedon felt a wave of dispair. TWO wolves against one?! She felt relieved as she saw Rain come crashing into Cedar, but yelped as she felt teeth rake her muzzle. Snarling, she gave Luna a hard kick in her abdomen, arching her paw so that her claws dug in. Luna gasped as the wind was knocked out of her, and she stumbled off. Faedon jumped to her paws; Luna growled, and leaped forward to knock her down again. Faedon knew that there wasn't time to hop away, so instead she rushed right back at her, and their heads collided. They both stumbled back, sucking in air. Faedon shook her head fiercely to shake the stars in her head away, but aggravated her headache even more.

Luna snarled as she rose to her paws, flying at Faedon. Faedon yelped as she fell back on the ground; Luna's forepaws pressed down on Faedon's chest, and Faedon sucked in air. Mustering all her strength, she kicked Luna right in the triangle of her ribs and hit right on. Luna staggered back, gasping for air after having the wind knocked out of her. Lunging forward, Faedon planted her own paws on Luna's chest, but instead of copying the technique Luna had used, Faedon smacked her paw against Luna's nose. Luna flinched, yelping. A ribbon of blood swelled up from inside her nostrils, and Faedon took her chance. She leaped into the air again, bringing one paw down in a simiar fashion that Luna had. Instead of pressing them both down on Luna's chest, however, she aimed for the weak spot on Luna's chest that exposed her heart. Luna let out a strangled cry, and Faedon quickly leaped away. Luna struggled to her paws, and Faedon was about to strike her down again, but paused. From behind them, Aki's den rumbled; Luna and Faedon both looked over to see what was happening. Thunder raced out, dragging Rain by her scruff. The den was caving in! Rain and Thunder had gotten out safely... but Nighta, who must've attacked Rain sometime during Faedon and Luna's fight, was still inside.

Luna scrambled to her paws, abandoning Faedon as she raced for the den. "NIGHTA!" she screamed, diving herself towards the entrance.

"Yeah, you go save your stupid boyfriend and get yourself killed!" Faedon spat after her. Turning, she looked around for someone else to attack. She saw Cedar making a run across the clearing, and fury bubbled up inside her. Chasing after Cedar in a full blown sprint, she lunged once she was close enough. They crashed into one another.

"Oh, not you again!" Cedar growled. She jumped away, and Faedon got a slash across her lower neck.

Yes, it is me again, you traitor! I'll be around until I make sure you're dead! Snarling furiously, Faedon snapped at Cedar's side and drew a considerable amount of blood. Cedar tried to lunge for her throat, but her teeth only sank into the thick fur around Faedon's neck. Growling, Faedon twisted away, snapping at Cedar's muzzle and slicing open another slash. Cedar yelped, stumbling back. She suddenly froze for several moments, looking at something else in the battle. Faedon took this as a sign of underestimating her, not caring about the battle, or both. Anger bubbling up inside her, Faedon gave Cedar a hard kick in the neck, forcing her down. Cedar roared and heaved herself upwards, slamming into Faedon. They were sent rolling in a flurry of snarls and snapping jaws, before breaking apart, snarling.
Cedar suddenly froze as a voice rang out above the others. "CEDAR! You traitorous mutt!"

Faedon felt relieved. Thank you Aki, she thought silently in her mind. I don't have to fight alone. Cedar was still frozen. Seizing her chance, Faedon lunged, biting down on the side of Cedar's neck. Cedar yelped; she kicked Faedon's abdomen and flung her off. Cedar whirled around, snapping her jaws wildly at Faedon's face. Faedon howled, stumbling back. Feeling the jaws stop for a second, she saw Quartz smack her paw across Cedar's nose. Cedar flinched, but bit down hard on Quartz's paw. Quartz tried to take it back, snarling, but Cedar only bit down harder. Fury bubbling up inside her once again, Faedon lunged for Cedar. As she crashed into Cedar, she let Quartz's paw go.

"You feather-headed fools!" Cedar snarled, and tried to get up.

Oh no you don't! Faedon snapped her jaws at Cedar's muzzle, and Cedar yelped. Faedon launched herself forward, and remembering the technique that Luna had used, Faedon's forepaws stood on Cedar's chest. Cedar wheezed, and Faedon knew what was coming. As Cedar kicked her in the abdomen, she wheezed, and as Cedar snapped her jaws at her face, she stumbled back. Cedar flung herself at Faedon, crashing into her and sending her slamming into the alpha's rock. Faedon yelped, and kicked out desperately. Cedar would have lunged again, if Aki hadn't leaped forward and intercepted the blow. Faedon breathed a sigh of relief.

"Traitor!" Aki growled through Cedar's fur. "You will pay!"

Instinctively, Cedar snapped her jaws at his face, even though she didn't want to. Aki took her by her hind leg and swung her away. Cedar skidded back with a yelp, flinching as she felt her pelt scratch open where she hit the ground hardest.
Faedon smirked as she rose to her paws, her lips curled back in a snarl and her ears flat against her head. Was that the slightest bit of fear she saw in Cedar's eyes when she noticed the wolves around her? The tables are turning, traitor, she thought. You'll pay for your treachery today with your life.

"So all of this time, you were with Darkpack, Cedar?!" Aki snarled.

"Yeah, I was!" Cedar shot back angrily.

"That's disgusting! We actually trusted you!" Aki snarled. "How could you?!" Cedar curled her lips up in a snarl and started to back away, but stopped when Faedon came around, blocking her exit.

"WHY?!" Aki barked again, this time louder. He stepped forward menacingly.

"Yeah Cedar, care to tell us why?" Faedon spat, matching Aki's steps and snarling furiously.

Cedar growled and bristled, "The real question is how you mangy-furred idiots actually manage to feed your little pack of mutts!"

Aki snarled at her words. He crouched low and sprang her with all his might, forcing her to the ground. She skidded into the rocks with a yelp, and she snapped at his face. He winced as her teeth caught him just above his eyes. He stumbled back as blood clouded his vision. Cedar was about to take advantage, but hesitated. She stepped back, trying to regain her footing. Faedon threw herself at Cedar, snarling. "Get away from him!" she snarled, lashing out with a snap of her jaws.

Cedar regained her focus and sidestepped, but was too slow and got a deep gash in her side. She bristled, and snapped at Faedon, but missed. Aki jumped to Faedon's side. "Get out." he growled at Cedar, his voice low and dangerous.

Every hair on Cedar's pelt bristled. "And you're going to make me?" she spat.

"Even if it kills me!" he warned. His eyes blazed with fury, and his body trembled with anger.

"We all will," Faedon snarled.

Before Cedar had time to react, Aki bunched his powerful hind legs and launched himself at Cedar. Cedar yelped, his fangs tearing down the base of her neck and her side. She snapped at his throat, trying not to fall. Even as her teeth tore into his neck, Aki didn't give way. Just above the shoulder, he snapped at her ribs, shoving against her as he tried to take her off her feet. Cedar stumbled back, flinching. Aki jumped away, before he lunged up and tried smashing his large paws onto her head. She dodged, used to the trick since she used it so often. Aki's paws hit the ground painfully; he rolled and tried to regain his footing, while Cedar took the time to get back her bearings.
Aki jumped back to his feet. He crouched down, a menacing growl erupting from his throat as he gave Cedar a hard kick in the ribs. Cedar snarled, and was about to jump to her paws. "To think that I loved you!" Aki spat. Instantly, Cedar froze. "I was going to ask you to be my mate today," Aki growled. "But it's too late for that now." He snapped his jaws at her, and Cedar cringed and yelped as she felt her ear tear right off. "Today you die, Cedar!" Cedar didn't even try to fight back as Aki lifted her up by her foreleg, swinging her into the alpha's rock head first.

As she fell limp to the ground, Faedon stepped back. "She'll wake up," she muttered, turning and pelting back into battle. Neither side was winning or losing. Faedon's gaze fell upon Moonsky and Reed at the edge of the densite that had turned into a battlefield, and she raced forward. Moonsky and Reed were fighting side-by-side, and when Faedon crashed into Moonsky's side, Reed was knocked over as well. Taken by surprise, the two wolves fell over with a yelp. Faedon seized her chance, taking Moonsky's leg and throwing her into a tree. She wheeled around, awkwardly leaning to the side as Reed lunged for her. She growled as she felt a slash open up her shoulder, snapping her jaws at Reed. Her jaws only made a hollow sound, however, as they snapped down on empty air, and she wheeled around again to dodge a lunge from Moonsky.

Faedon suddenly felt a pit of worry open in her belly, and she regretted taking on two wolves at once. She launched herself at Reed, whacking her paw across his muzzle. Reed yelped, and while he was distracted, Faedon flew at Moonsky. The two she-wolves clashed in mid-air, their jaws snapping wildly. Faedon flinched as Moonsky's jaws cut her muzzle open, and Moonsky yelped when Faedon's fangs slashed open her forehead. They both landed awkwardly on the ground. Faedon heard a cry off somewhere in the battlefield, and Moonsky and Reed both instantly froze.

"I'll go check on Fish," Reed yelped over his shoulder as he disappeared in the battlefield. Moonsky watched him leave, and remained frozen. Faedon raced for her, but much to her surprise, instead of fighting back or getting crashed into, Moonsky ran after him. Faedon skidded to a stop, kicking up bits of gravel and a cloud of dust.

Before Faedon had a chance to even register what was going on, a black streak slammed into her. Faedon yelped as the wind was knocked out of her. When she saw the face of her attacker, she felt a bit of fear course through her. "Hello, Faedon," Atra hissed. Before Faedon even had time to react, she went crashing into a tree. Faedon yelped, shock coursing through her at how fast Atra came running towards her. Faedon grit her teeth as Atra slashed open a long, painful slash on her cheek.

Atra hit Faedon with a series of blows that gave Faedon no time to react. Faedon tried to fight back, but barely got a blow in. When Atra threw Faedon away, Faedon took her chance. She wheeled around and charged for Atra, and the dark she-wolf whipped around. Atra slashed at Faedon, and she stumbled back, scoring a hard blow on Atra's shoulder with her fangs. Atra charged for Faedon, bowling her over and sending them both rolling. Faedon slashed at her neck again and again, often drawing blood. Faedon was doing better, and had a much better chance at making it through this fight... but deep down, she knew, that she was still losing. Atra seized Faedon's leg, swinging her against a boulder She cried out as she crashed into it, having the wind knocked out of her. Atra growled, lunging for her again. Faedon gasped as she had the air knocked from her lungs, falling onto the snow roughly. Atra stood over her triumphantly. Faedon swallowed almost fearfully. Behind Atra, she could see Luna and River holding her mother down... Upon seeing that, Faedon felt a wave of despair come over her. She flinched a bit as Atra's jaws wrapped around her throat.

No! I don't want to die... Faedon's eyes were closed tightly as she waited for death to come...

But it didn't.

Atra yelped, instinctively letting Faedon go as she skidded across the ground. Slowly, Faedon opened her eyes, and almost couldn't believe what she saw.

"Cedar?!" Atra barked, "What are you doing?! You're DARKPACK!"

"Not anymore, Atra," Cedar growled, snapping at Atra's face. Blood welled up at the edge of Atra's ear as half of it was torn off. "Darkpack is worthless. Stonepack gave me more than you could ever give me."

"Cedar..." Faedon breathed, in awe of what she was doing. She had betrayed Stonepack... and then betrayed Darkpack to save her.

Cedar took Atra's foreleg and swung her into a tree. "You mess with Stonepack, and you mess with me. They are my pack now."

C'mon, Cedar, MOVE! Faedon thought desperately. Why are you just standing there?!

"IDIOT!" Atra roared, jumping to her paws. She raced over faster than Cedar could blink; Cedar tried to leap back, but she was too slow. She let out a mix between a squeal and a whimper as Atra crashed into her, sinking her jaws into her neck. Cedar flailed her legs wildly, desperately trying to escape. Her mind raced as Atra's jaws squeezed on her throat, before dropping her onto the snow below her, stained as red as Cedar's pelt from blood.

Faedon tried to race over to Cedar and get her out of the way in time... but she was too late. She skidded to a stop, freezing when Atra dropped a nearly motionless Cedar. "That oughta be a lesson for all of you," Atra spat at Cedar's body, "This is what you get when you defy Darkpack!" Atra then disappeared amongst the ever-raging battle. River and Luna took after her as well, abandoning Senkah.

Cedar gasped for air, her mind racing. Faedon shot to her paws, racing over to Cedar's side. "Cedar!" she cried. "No... it can't be too late, Cedar!"

"Faedon..." she gasped, "Tell... t-tell Aki I-l-loved him..."

"I-I will," Faedon choked, "but-" She was cut off, as Cedar went on.

"And... please tell Senkah and H-Hades... and everyone e-else... I'm sorry... for betraying y-you all..."

Faedon laid down beside Cedar, lapping at the wound on her throat desperately to stop the rushing blood. "No, Cedar," Faedon whimpered, "Don't talk like that! You're going to be okay! We'll do something!"

Faedon saw Aki approach out of the corner of her eye. "So the traitor's finally dead?" he growled, but it was too soft for Cedar to hear.

"Watch your tongue, Aki," Senkah growled. "She may have just given her life to save Faedon." Aki looked surprised, before his gaze softened as he looked down at Cedar.

"Please don't be s-sad, Faedon..." Mustering the little strength she had left, she gave Faedon a weak lick on the muzzle. "I got what I w-wanted... I-I'm happy..." She coughed a bit as blood bubbled from her mouth.

Aki leaned down and nuzzled Cedar softly. "Cedar, hang on! You'll survive!" Faedon cried desperately as she saw Cedar's eyes beginning to close.

"Goodbye," Cedar choked out. Faedon whined. Cedar's tail thumped halfheartedly on the ground, and her eyes closed.

Faedon just sat there, in shock for a couple minutes. Tears streamed down from her cheeks. She felt something open up within her; a storm of grief, sadness, and fury raged inside her. Forcing her tears away, she turned to run into the battle. "ATRA!" she screamed.

She felt teeth bite down on her tail. "Faedon! Keep yourself together!" Aki growled through her tail fur, though Faedon could hear his own grief etched deep in his voice.

"Let me go, Aki! I'll avenge Cedar and kill Atra, and Luna, and every last one of these stupid Darkmutts!" she roared.

"Faedon!" Senkah barked sharply. "Get yourself together! We're still fighting in a battle! This is no time to lose your head!"

"Senkah, don't tell me to get myself together! Atra killed Cedar!" she cried. She flinched a bi as Senkah forced her down roughly.

"Faedon, I am your alpha and mother! DO NOT disrespect me!" she barked.

Faedon suppressed a growl, but nodded. Senkah let up, and Faedon jumped to her paws. As she looked out into the battlefield, her eyes burned as intensely as fire. Adrenaline forced her grief down, and instead, she was filled with a burning desire to avenge Cedar's death.

...Atra, you better sleep with one eye open, because when I find you, I will destroy you. You will pay for taking Cedar's life, and every other wolf you've killed. I promise you.

Chapter 13

Senkah raced through the battlefield, her fangs gleaming and her coat shining with blood. The battle was beginning to jumble together in her mind like one big idiot fiasco. She passed by groups and groups of fighting wolves, all battling to the death. The two packs were evenly matched, and neither side was giving in.

Senkah's gaze fell upon Atra at the edge of the battlefield. Her ears pinned down flat against her head and her lips curled up in a terrifying snarl. But before she could do something, she saw Faedon and Quartz lunge for Darkpack's alpha.

"ATRA!" Quartz roared.

"Murderer of Cedar!" Faedon screeched.

Atra, however, easily dodged Quartz and threw Faedon away roughly. With her hind leg, she gave Quartz a hard kick in the chest. "Don't even try, pups!" she cackled. "I already defeated you, Faedon."

Faedon growled as she forced herself to her paws. "You haven't defeated me until the last breath has left my body!" Faedon snarled.

"Even so, pup, you won't have someone come and save you this time!" Atra sneered. "You're no match for me."

"But I am," Senkah growled, stepping forward.

Atra's gaze turned to Senkah, the two sisters' gazes burning into one another's. "So we meet in battle, sister," Atra said coolly.

"I've waited for this day my whole life, Atra." A throat ripping growl rose from Senkah's throat. Bunching her legs, she lunged for Atra with lightning speed and agility. Atra bit back a yelp as Senkah's fangs scored open a slash on her shoulder. Atra snarled, and lunged for Senkah, whapping her on the muzzle sharply with a paw. Senkah inhaled sharply, stumbling back as blood welled up around her nose. With a growl, Senkah opened her eyes and sneered, "What an improvement, Atra!"

Atra snarled, her prickling fur making her look two times her size. She lunged for Senkah at the same time her sister did, and the two she-wolves clashed. Senkah jerked her leg backwards, flipping Atra under her and sending her sister crashing into the ground. Senkah landed on the ground awkwardly, staggering as the shock kept her paws from moving for a second. She and Atra lunged for one another again, and Senkah dug her claws into Atra's shoulder. It left a few painful, but otherwise harmless scratches that Atra pretty much disregarded.

"Ha! You've improved yourself, you pitiful shrew," Atra sneered, snapping her jaws at Senkah's face and slashing open her muzzle.

"Shrew!" Senkah laughed, "Guess you'll be dying today then, cricket!" Senkah smirked as she called Atra by her puphood name.

Atra roared fiercely, snapping her jaws at a wound on Senkah's neck and yanking back. Senkah yelped, struggling against it, but only deepening the wound. She gave Atra a hard kick in her foreleg's shin, and Atra stumbled back, yelping. The two she-wolves took a moment to recover from the shock, before lunging at one another again. They each slashed open scratches on the side of each other's neck. Wheeling around, Atra lunged for Senkah, and Senkah tried to bite down on the part of her chest where the heart was unprotected, but couldn't get a suitable grip. The two sisters tumbled, kicking and snapping at one another with bared teeth and bristling fur.

Senkah winced as Atra's teeth slashed open a clean cut just above her eye. Senkah kicked the ground with her back leg, sending a clump of mud and snow at Atra's face. It caught her on the side, and gave Senkah just enough time to bite down on Atra's muzzle. As Senkah's teeth sank into Atra's nose, Atra squealed a bit and kicked out instinctively. Her paw hit Senkah's throat, and Senkah staggered back with a gasp. Atra tackled her, and Senkah hooked her forepaws around Atra's, jerking them to the side suddenly. Atra yelped loudly, and dove for Senkah's throat. Senkah dug her fangs into Atra's neck just as Atra grabbed hers; they bit and twisted, but because one was holding onto the other, neither of them could cause a fatal injury.

The two sisters were evenly matched. Driven by rage and adrenaline, the fight betwen them was a battle in of itself. It was a fight much more violent than the others; it was a fight to the death.
Atra was yanked off Senkah with a yelp as Hades bit down on her tail. She scrabbled on the ground and snapped her jaws at Hades' face; Senkah jumped up, crashing into Atra and knocking her away. Hades had a series of slashes and scores opened up on his head. "Are you okay?" Senkah asked him.

"Just fine," he replied tersely.

Atra staggered to her paws. She looked like she was about to lunge, but slipped on one of her paws. Blood coated her pelt, and she was noticably weakening. She closed her eyes tightly, before giving Hades and Senkah a look of fire. "DARKPACK! Return!" she howled, and turned to pelt away. The fighting Darkpack wolves froze, hesitantly following her. Senkah smirked triumphantly, tilting her head back and howling Stonepack's victory. The rest of Stonepack joined in shortly afterwards.

***

Senkah and Hades' paws churned up clumps of mud and snow as they dug. The pack was gathered around the still, lifeless, bloody form of Cedar. Faedon's nose was buried in Cedar's fur, as was Aki's. Even though she was a traitor, most of the pack was grieved at her death.

"Faedon?"

Faedon raised her head at her mother's soft voice. "Yes, mother?"

"It's time."

Faedon knew what that meant. Holding in a few more tears, Faedon rose to her paws and took Cedar's scruff. Aki nudged Cedar onto his back, and walked with Faedon to the river. He gently slid her over his head and onto the soft, muddy ground, murmuring a few last words to her. "You lived the life of a traitor, Cedar, but died the death of a hero. I love you, Cedar." He nuzzled her motionless form softly.

Faedon's mind was a blur as she padded back to the densite. Wolves around her were injured, some gravely. They would have been in high spirits, had Cedar not died. Senkah and Hades were trying to smother Darkpack's vile scents, which were still very strong and fresh. Despite being exhausted, Quartz went out to hunt for the pack.

Faedon felt quite drained and depressed. She went out into the forest to hunt for the pack, but thick fog clouded her mind. Though she was in a pack, Faedon was a sort of loner. Cedar had been her only really close friend. Sure, there was Quartz, and Zero, but they weren't particularly close. True, there was Senkah, too, but Faedon wasn't a pup anymore. She couldn't cling to her mother. Faedon almost felt jealous of Rain and Thunder, and Cedar and Aki. Sure, she was happy for them, but she was just so... lonely. She didn't have a doubt in her mind that Cedar's friendship for her was real, despite her being a spy; after all, she'd given her life to save Faedon.

But you left me here all alone, Cedar, she thought, a wave of grief pelting her heart again and nearly swallowing her up. She had to blink rapidly to hold back her tears. Climbing up onto a boulder, she laid down, gazing up at the cloudy sky which promised plenty more snow soon. It was a sad, sad day today, and Faedon had never felt so alone. Her ears began to droop, but they shot back up as she remembered something.

Cedar gave her life to save me for a reason. Darkpack has taken so many lives, and they loom at our borders... Faedon's claws dug at the stone, and she rose to her paws. Her red pelt looked like fire in the wind, and her eyes were so intense that it was near impossible to gaze back into them. Atra, Luna, Ebony... every one of you maggots will feel every ounce of pain you've caused every other wolf. And Cedar, I promise you justice. Even if it's not today, tomorrow, or this month. Faedon jumped down, her spirit renewed as she padded after a vole.
