*~*Runner Duck Club*~*

Just got two geese and two crested runners yesterday they are babies.. One of the geese is pulling out the crested part of the runner we checked on them this morning and one is bald... Any suggestion we only have one duck house and we don't want to seperate them

We got peck no more and we are gonna try that first... The ducks follow the geese around and start going crazy when they aren't by them.. We hope that works if they are still pecking them tomorrow we will try to seperate.. Thanks for the advice

Hello runner duck folk! We are in search of adding a few ducklings to our flock. We have a nice big pond, about a football field in size, and a few random ducks that haven't left here over the years. We previously had a runner, and just LOVED him! We were curious if there was anyone in the area who knew about a few ducklings, or would be willing to sell a few eggs to our farm?
We are located in South Jersey, near Vineland area. If you have any information, please let us know! Thank you : )

`Sorry I am on the West Coast so I don't have any info. Bumping this thread so someone else may be able to help!
I fed my babies scrambled eggs today and they just loved them! They are about 4 weeks old. They are still very downy, no adult feathers yet. I swear I am hearing some really soft quacking! We are keeping them in the house in big plastic containers. Constantly cleaning the containers and taking the babies outside when it is warm enough. Trying to get them used to the chickens so they can stay in the coop, or we are going to have to make a duck house. We might do that anyways so they have their privacy:)
I would love to see more photos! I will post some when I figure out how ot get them off my phone@

I took my 3 runners out to our small pond today and one of them is quite the swimmer! He/she swam completely under water! The others just kind dip and dive but this one went completely under and swam like he/she was in a race! So cute!

Where do you all keep your ducklings? When is it ok to let them out by themselves? Is it ok to let them out when they are fully feathered or is that too young? I have free range chickens with not many problems (neighbors dog got one a couple years ago). This thread has been terribly quiet lately
