Someone has asked what week-old runners look like, since they are more used to larger breeds. Here are photos of my runners at eight days old. Not award-winning, but one can get an idea of scale from the feeders and waterers.
This is just before we moved out, into Brooder II.
It was getting a little cramped in here!
The largest tote you can find, or someone bought one of those deck storage containers, they are pretty pricey but at least you wouldn't have to move them but once and that would be to their permanent place when old enough.Wow can't believe they were that tall at day 8. Better rethink my ideas for a brooder. Anyone have any good suggestions!?
Hmm that's a good idea miss Lydia thanks. Think there's a cheap garden storage box on sale down the road, maybe I'll have a look. What's a tote though!? Over here a tote is a type of shopping bag, don't think they'd like that much haha!
