Got my runner ducks back. One of my hens panicked on the drive. I opened the large box I transported the ducks in and she was dead. Looked like a broken neck. So sad! All my girls are laying so good. Anyone hear of something similar? We drove through a storm on the way home.

I have 9 ducks which some of you might know.But I don't have any Runners yet! But this upcoming Wensday or Thursday my Mom and I are going to be buying 22 to 25 adult Runners from Craigslist!
I am really excited. The reason we are getting so many is the price is really good, most of the ducks are hens (lots of eggs in the future!), and my Mom wants to train her dog Solo to herd.![]()
I am wondering how big of a coop we will need? We were thinking 48 sq feet for their coop, that means 2 sq feet per duck, would that be good? Also their coop would go inside the round pen that we will be making, and that will be really big!
Any advice or tips are welcome!![]()
