*~*Runner Duck Club*~*

Its so crazy! We left for work one morning and georgette was yellow and fuzzy with patches missing here and there and when we got back she was white! A week later her tuxedo pattern is already coming through

Ok, I tried to post this in this thread but apparently I created a random thread, so sorry if you get this twice!

My broody runner duck decided she was done yesterday so I ran and got a incubator, power ready through every post I could find on BYC and look what I came home to today!!!

I have 8 ducks. Two are runners and I find them to be the most personable and enchanting in the whole flock. I read in a couple books that they were flighty which made them sound a bit stand-offish. It also seems to indicate that they aren't as keen on swimming than other breeds. If this is supposed to be true, mine did not read the book! They are quite willing to come up to me and be petted. They are especially keen on peas and cat food. One will climb right onto my lap for peas and will steal them right out of the container (little rascal.) They are also the ones I am must likely to see floating around in the pool.

The next time I get more ducks, they are going to be Runners.

Will past a photo of them sometime.

Okay, so I have been told that i have a pair of Crested Runners... I am not sure if I do, not sure on the sex of them, not really sure of anything other than that they are my little feathered babies!! I have their pic as my profile picture and will be adding some of the more recent ones soon. They both still have their poofs on top of their heads if that is any help.

Thanks in advance!!

They are definitely crested, but it's hard to tell from the pic if they stand up straight. They also may be of mixed heritage and just have some runner in them. As far as sex, how old are they? At about 8 weeks you should be able to tell by their voice. Girls have a loud definite quack, while boys just have a raspy mumble.

Oh, and
