I did sorta miss the hatching part by mail ordering. But I had 3 times more drakes than ducks in last years 2 hatches. HatEd the reforming part.

I do have anconas, but none of them have hatched yet. Hopefully soon! 100% hatch? That would be AWESOME! But, we will see. One of the magpie eggs is pipped wrong, but she seems to be ok.

It really surprises me the places the pip and the way they zip. Wish I could bend and twist like they do.
I'm glad you also have Anconas, I do get all the threads mix upped at times.
I put some hardware cloth over the pop door so they could get a little xtra fresh air and see outside today. The sun was shining. They love sitting and looking out of it!
And a pic of the current water situation. I used the deep lid that came on the brooder/ rubbermade.
And it helps contain a ton of water . And the rest of the brooder stays dry. I cant hardly wait for a warm day so i can let them out in the yard!
The runners turned 2 weeks old monday.
The khakis 3 weeks old monday

They have gotten so big, it's hard to believe they are only 2 weeks old. I like the brooder set up. Good idea about the tote top.
My babies were a week old yesterday. They survived shipping fine, wish I could say the same for me.
Their first play time outside. We were in the 80s today low 70s. Hope you get some warm soon
