*~*Runner Duck Club*~*

Can’t wait to get our new babies end of April. Come on @quackiemama join us by ordering a few!!
So I do have my 3 runner girls. Ginger, Maryann and Lovey. I did have a discussion at dinner last night about either ordering more babies or hatching some. At first my DH said absolutely not as we will eventually be moving to a larger "cabin" up the hill on our property where we could have a larger duck run and house. Long story for another time. We are currently tiny house living on our property in a old fishing cabin that we have pretty much converted to a home. ANYWAY then he said "You know what? You are a grown a** woman and can do whatever you want. Just not until you get back from your trips to Dallas." So now my anxiety is amped up. I do not want another drake so I am leaning towards ordering but what a cool experience to hatch them. What should I do? And yes join me up!! Sorry to be long winded. Gees I think I had too much coffee.

Lol order just females that’s what I did not because I don’t like drakes but because I have two drakes two roosters and one gander that’s plenty of testosterone out in the bird yard

Don't get me wrong. I love Leonard but I am concerned he would not accept another drake unless I got even more females. He is pretty bossy and protective of his ladies but usually very sweet to me. I was only looking to get 2-3 as I have limited space for now. I think I will just order some more females. I got the first ones from Murray McMurray but somebody local told me they were really expensive. Where should I order from? I think I am going to get a different kind of runner so I don't have all fawn and white even though they are the cutest things to me.

I ordered from Cackle hatchery they are in Missouri, I did order Fawn and white because I have blk, blue, silver and wanted some F&W to go with them. @CrystaBub Has ordered from Cackle also.

Thankfully only one Runner drake and 1 Muscovy drake and they stay with their own females never bother each other.

Really? That is pretty cool about the drakes staying with their own females. I get worried because I can see my neighbor's roosters always fighting and it makes me sad. Hmm I wonder what color runner girls I should order? Something that will look good with my fawn and whites and my mallards. Now I am getting excited. I love having baby ducks around.

Well usually my Muscovys fo the hatching for me do I never get to touch babies too often with first hatched so this is exciting for me too. When is your trip to Dallas maybe you can get your order in and they will deliver after your home . You can pretty much chose your delivery date from the dates they post.
