Hi I am hatching Indian runner ducks. All but two have hatched. One is in the process of hatching ...
The last (2nd) one is alive, I see the membrane in the airsack moving, it has pipped the inner skin on the side, nowhere near the airsack. Should I help or wait?

I just went through something similar. I used the information in these two links to help me through it.

It was too late for mine unfortunately. When I finally dared to open the egg, it had died. It's beak was nowhere near the shell but in the middle under its wing, with the shoulders in the small end of the egg. Sad, but can't be helped. I have now 5 little runner ducklings and one Khaki Campbell x Pekin duck duckling which is about 4 times as big as the smallest and youngest of the runners. They have very similar markings even on their feet and beak. Wondering if this youngest ine is not 100% runner duck. We shall see as it grows up.
They need a lot of love and dedication. 2 of the runners want to come out for snuggles against my neck all the time. Very sweet!
