Runner Duck labored/heavy breathing

Nope it’s pills I got by rx for humans , I couldn’t afford the vet. I crush a pill and divide the powder into little piles to get the right milligram dosage for her weight then I mix it with a little water and give by syringe (no needle) I don’t know if you can give the cream orally I’d be afraid it would gunk up in her throat and make it even harder to breathe and I don’t remember if it had other ingredients that are not safe for ducks? I faintly remember looking all that up last year.
Someone here had a duck who got a prescription from the vet for the same pills that I got for humans, and the instructions on the pill bottle said to do what I do. (Crush into powder and mix with water)
Good to know, thank you.

Morning update
Not much to report. She is about the same I’d say. Definitely not worse.
Her poop is liquidy green, can kinda see it in the photos. It’s been like that since I started watching her yesterday. Not sure if it’s from all the stress or something else.
She will eat mealworms and drink the electrolyte water still. I put a bowl of 30% game feed in there but no evidence she has eaten any.

A little bit earlier she was sleeping on one leg with her bill tucked into her wings.

I feel bad that she is alone in there. The vet did say she could have a friend. But I’m a bit weary of doing so. Especially with the green diarrhea. (I’m not a poop expert so I don’t exactly know what it means)

Willow has green runny poop too but I think it’s because I gave her a lot of peas 😉

The green is likely a result of her not eating much of anything and the electrolyte water. You might try mixing the feed with a enough water to make a soupy mash, it will encourage her to play with it which might encourage her to eat.

Night update
Nothing too new to report, which is fine by me.
Still breathing a little hard/fast. But her tail is looking much more normal, so that makes me happy.
Still can’t get her to eat her food, just mealworms. I’ve even got a bowl of water with watermelon and peas in it.. and topped it with mealworms. Of course she ate the mealworms and nothing else yet haha. Still giving her electrolyte water as well in a separate bowl.
I’m guessing a lot of it has to do with the fact she’s inside alone and not out with her sisters. Mixed in with probably not feeling great.
Now thinking, even as a baby she would only eat the mealworms and no other fun snack!

She is still very active and walking around, stretching, fake swimming occasionally by the water bowl, sleeping on one leg, etc.

I have an essential oil diffuser in there, not sure it’s really putting off much scent. And I’ve still been putting VetRx on her with a few drops in her water.

I know you worry about her giving what she may have to the others but she has already exposed them before you brought her inside. Meaning if she had a friend, she might be more inclined to eat.

Be sure the essential oil you are using is safe for poultry.

Shes so pretty, I have 5 fawn and White.

I’m thinking today when I get home I’ll bring her two sisters in. She grew up in a trio, so those 3 always stay together.

For the essential oil, I had read on here from a few years ago that someone made a blend of Thieves oil to diffuse for their duck with Asper and it seemed to help their breathing.
If that seems like a bad idea I’ll stop.

Also, would you or anyone be able to link a colloidal silver spray?
I would like to try that. But when I look it up there’s so many different options, I’m not sure which one to get.

This is the one I buy I just put it into a spray bottle. If I need to use it as a spray.
