Runner Duck stressed?

My black runner duck is 2 years old and she has been through a lot and this year I've noticed her upper wing

feathers don't settle they stay splayed out like she is either wet or stressed. She does this all the time and isn't getting in the pool that much. Any got an ideas or if I should be worried at all? She does move but usually is slower then the others.

2 and 2. And yes she does seem to be the one they prefer.

Do get her away from the boys. I can tell by her neck that she's been mated a lot. I have 4 boys and 13 girls and they are all apart now because boys just don't know how to act!

My smallest drake is the biggest problem and most brutal to the girls. He was way too hard on them so I've just decided to get all the boys away from them and the girls are happy little things now.

I can help you with ideas on how to separate them if you'd like. I will need to know how you are set up with your pens and day run.

So they have a fenced area they live in. Would you put the males in crates almost like they are in quarantine? Ive done it many times with our chickens and once with our oldest drake when he has bumble foot. We do have space outside their run but there is no shade at all. How many hours do we want them separated like could we let them out to roam during the day and bring them back in at night?

Drake jail means the drakes have no access to the females. At all possibly till late summer into fall just depends. I wouldn't keep the drakes in crates though just make them a pen away from the girls can you do that and then you could crate them over night in the coop so they don't have access to the females. Maybe split your pen into 2 sections. I use plastic chicken fencing when I need to make a separate area for anyone. Lowes and many other places carry it and those fence posts that have sharp points on the end made out of hard plastic work great along with it.
