I have 6 runners and really like them. We just hatched penciled runners (which I don't have) and Anconas in my classroom. I was going to keep 2 of them, and I have a home for the others. My plan was to keep two Anconas. The runners are so friendly and relaxed and the Anconas aren't very friendly. They cry when we pick the up to get back with the other ducklings and run to the other side of the brooder when we approach - unless they are hungry. Does anyone know are they usually a pretty friendly... I'm thinking I might be better off keeping a couple of the penciled runners.
