You could also make your own with romex burial wire and a couple plugs and bury it thats the safest. It's designed to do that. No conduit required

There is direct-bury Romex and regular interior Romex. The interior stuff usually has a white (14 gauge) or yellow (12 gauge) outside sheath. Inside the outer sheath are the three conductors, The hot wire has a black insulation, the neutral wire has a white insulation and the ground wire is usually uninsulated and wrapped in paper. The direct-bury stuff has a thicker and more heavily bonded insulation (without paper) and is usually black or grey on the outside.

Directions for the deicer water container said to make sure to use a 16/3. I’ll check it again, and post a pic if that would help. So no difference except for thickness, right?
