They are food-obsessed creatures. Every time I walk out my back door, I have 17 full grown large size chickens running at me full-steam ahead...FOOOOOOOD LADY!!!!!! It would be scary, if I wasn't standing there laughing...running chickens are hysterical
It'll really get crazy when all my chicks grow up and my flock is doubled.
When i hear the rush of chicken wings coming at me, i think we definitely need to get a half acre or something fenced off for them before we get too many more. Part of me is afraid they're going to slam right into me. They're coming SO fast!
LOL! Mine don't wait for me to come outside, they start hollering at me as soon as they hear a sound inside the house in the morning!
"Hey! I hear you in there! Bring us sumthin! We're huuuunnngryy!"
Mine come running to me whenever I go outside - they don't care if I have food or not, they just love me! It's not like they are a bunch of gluttinous pigs or something.
P.S. I have some prime swamp land in Arizona to sell you.
I let mine out before bedtime-that's around 5am for me. When I get up around 1, they are waiting on the steps for me, and nearly trip me as I make my way to the coop to refill feeders. If they are back in the coop area, they haul BUTT to get to me, as fast as their little legs will carry them. Sometimes that 's not fast enough for them and they will actually fly over to me, expecting food. A city person might be a little frightened at first
