"Could you drop me off over there?" she asked him, looking up with hopeful eyes.Whiteshine dipped her head, slightly returning to her reserved nature. "Sure, but don't you need Bramblefall to support you?"
"If that's what you want," he mewed a little reluctantly, and put her gently in the sun spot she pointed at. He padded away, knowing that this was just for the she-cats to figure out. Whiteshine padded over to her, looking slightly embarrassed."Could you drop me off over there?" she asked him, looking up with hopeful eyes.
Lilyflight waited until Bramblefall was out of earshot before sighing. She suddenly felt shy. "Umm... Whiteshine?" she asked. "Would you mind telling me what you were doing?""If that's what you want," he mewed a little reluctantly, and put her gently in the sun spot she pointed at. "Uhh," She mewed, looking at her paws. "I don't know what I was doing." She said, fully returning to her old self for the time being.Lilyflight waited until Bramblefall was out of earshot before sighing. She suddenly felt shy. "Umm... Whiteshine?" she asked. "I don't know either," Lilyflight meowed. "It was so unlike you. Is something wrong between... You know... You and Strikewhisker?""Uhh," She mewed, looking at her paws. "I don't know what I was doing." She said, fully returning to her old self for the time being.
"No!" She mewed, suddleny defensive. "Of course not!" She calmed down before saying "I just feel a little...off ever since Rainpaw's death...""I don't know either," Lilyflight meowed. "It was so unlike you. Is something wrong between... You know... You and Strikewhisker?"
"Okay, okay, just checking," she mewed defensively too. "I guess I do too," she admitted, looking down at her paws. "And spending all that time in the medicine den doesn't help either. I look around, and all I see is her. I keep waiting for her to pop out of the herb stores and insist on checking my wound, or offering to play a game of moss ball to keep me occupied. Or even see a friendly squabble between her and Feathersky, and then she'd comfort me because she knows that I'd automatically think of Blackpaw..." she tried to slow herself down. "It's just not the same," she said finally."No!" She mewed, suddleny defensive. "Of course not!" She calmed down before saying "I just feel a little...off ever since Rainpaw's death..."
Whiteshine nuzzled her, trying to comfort her. "I know what you mean. Sunpaw hasn't been wanting to train ever since, and I wonder if she'll ever be that same cat we saw taking on two foxes at the same time..." She looked at her paws and shook her pelt. It was good to confide in her friend."Okay, okay, just checking," she mewed defensively too. "I guess I do too," she admitted, looking down at her paws. Lilyflight gave her a lick. "Maybe when this stupid scratch heals, we'll take her hunting. And it's been a while since I've seen her, if she has the time and she wants to she can visit me."Whiteshine nuzzled her, trying to comfort her. "I know what you mean. "Yeah," Whiteshine mewed, perking up. "I think that would return her to her old self." She paused giving Lilyflight a good-humored nudge. "I know how much you two like each other."Lilyflight gave her a lick. "Maybe when this stupid scratch heals, we'll take her hunting.
