*Running with the Flood* A Warrior Cat RP~Open~

Bramblefall started purring softly as well, glad that the sun could distract her from everything that was going on.

Sunpaw padded up to them, looking gloomy. She sat down and started to groom herself, not saying anything.
Lilyflight stopped purring. "Are you okay?" she asked her softly, remembering what Whiteshine had said.

"I'm fine." she said haughtily. "Whiteshine said she thought it would be good for me to see you." Bramblefall and Lilyflight exchanged a glance. Where was the carefree apprentice that was always so happy to learn?

"I don't think you are fine," Lilyflight told her gently. "I know what you're thinking about. And I have been too lately..."

Sunpaws eyes started to glisten with tears. "If only I had gotten their faster..." She blamed herself gloomily. Bramblefall lowered his voice and asked "Do I need to go or...?"

Bramblefall stood up and left, wondering if he would actually be able to spend time with her today.

Sunpaw felt a tear leave her eye, and one after another they started falling faster until her vision was blurred. She shook her head angrily, mad that Lilyflight had seen her cry.

Lilyflight pressed against her comfortingly. "It's not your fault," she whispered. "No one's. She was already with StarClan when we found her, and nothing you or any cat did could have changed that."

"If I could've just ran a bit faster, or smelled her a bit earlier then maybe...." Sunpaw put what little of a tail she had on Lilyflight's back.
