*Running with the Flood* A Warrior Cat RP~Open~

When the sun came up, he said softly "It's time for me to go." He licked Hazelkit and nuzzled Sunstrike, then faded like he was mist
Aspenkit bit back a wail. He knew that Bluetail couldn’t have stayed longer, but it still didn’t make it any easier.

Snowpaw woke with a jolt and yelped before slamming her tail over her mouth. Hopefully she hadn’t woken anyone else.

Sunstrike nuzzled him and helped both of them onto her back and started heading back to camp.

Rosepaw mumbled a protest, then slid back into sleep.

Aspenkit snuggled up to his mother’s belly and fell asleep.

Snowpaw sighed quietly with relief that he didn’t wake and slipped out of the den, out into the forest, away from her problems and out into the early morning light. Each step she took felt like a weight slipping from her shoulders like water droplets until she was lighter and more carefree than ever. Picking up speed, she was soon racing joyously through the forest, closing her eyes as she let her whiskers guide her and the wind whip her ears back and lift her tail as it streamed behind her. For the first time in a long while, she felt... free. Of course, she was still worried over Bramblestar, the rest of the Clan, and confused about her powers, but for one glorious moment it seemed as if her heart was free, despite the worries that remained. She could be worried over something and still allow herself a little time to take a break. Bramblestar’s fate was in Floodpaw’s paws now, not hers, as much as she wanted to help him. Maybe it would be okay... Just maybe, for once, something would turn out right...
(I knew you weren’t on, so I let myself get creative and descriptive. Lol)

Snowpaw finally slowed to a graceful stop and looked at the place she was at. It was quite lovely, where a few rays of weak pale sunlight filtered through the mossy trees and their leaves, just warm enough to be pleasant. She sat in one of the larger patches of warm light and forced herself to relax. She couldn’t stay long, because they would start looking for her soon, but something made Snowpaw reluctant to return yet.

Rosepaw stretched, then woke. He set up with a jolt of alarm, realizing Snowpaw wasn't there.
