“What do you mean?” Lilyflight hated pressing him like this when he was obviously hurting, but they had to know what he was talking about.

"She was restless and wanted to get out of camp. I told her to go hunting while I took care of other things. She fell into the ravine." He could feel tears pressing in the back of his eyes, but he held them in. He wasn't going to crack in front of everyone
Lilyflight knew he meant Larksong. “You couldn’t have known,” she murmured, resting her tail across his shoulders. “Even if you had been there, you couldn’t have known.”
"I was still the one who told her to go hunting that day. Even though she was-" He stopped, not ready yet to reveal to the Clan that she had been carrying their kits
She didn’t ask him to finish his sentence. She just stood there, offering silent comfort.
"Can I go now?" He mewed suddenly, breaking the emotional tension
Lilyflight looked up at Bramblestar.
Bramblestar nodded. They had gotten everything that they had wanted out of him.
Blackblood promptly turned and walked out. Once he was out of camp, he raced to the Sky Oak and climbed to one of the branches and began to sob
Lilyflight sighed. “What do we do?” she asked, sitting down and and flattening her ears against her bowed head. She looked like a reprimanded apprentice.
“Well, I think we need to discover how to get cats out of the Dark Forest. I think I may know what has got Blackblood so upset. More than just Larksong, I mean.” Floodlight hesitated.
"I agree with Floodlight. What is it that you know?" He asked curiously
