*Running with the Flood* A Warrior Cat RP~Open~

“Like what?” he asked, twitching his ears.
Snowlilly: like wide open spaces as far as you could see. And waters so large you can see the end of it. *she was describing things that her parents had described to her.* like fields so full of color that you cant see a single piece of grass between them. And mountains so high that the point is high above the clouds. *again she was describing her parents stories. They traveled a lot before her mom got pregnant.*

“That’s incredible!” Aspenkit gasped. “You got to see all that?”

“Sorry,” he mumbled, flattening his ears in guilt. “I wanted to see who Snowlily was.”

“Do you think she would be a good addition to the Clan?” Hesitating for a moment, Floodlight added softly, “What do you think Lilyflight would say?”
Sunstrike shook her head, exasperated.

He hesitated before replying "I-I don't know. That's what I've been trying to figure out. She seems to be good with the kits, from what I've seen, and she must have good survival insticts for surving on her own, blind, this whole time."
Snowlilly: there is no need to be sorry. *she faced his mother again.* your son seems full of curiousity.*
"Yes, he is." She mewed with a faint smile. "Alright, Aspenkit, say good-bye. It's time we got you back to the nest with your siblings for your nap."

“Bye,” he said softly, waving his small tail in farewell.

“Then it seems as if you want her to join,” she prompted gently.

Sunstrike led him back to the nursery and curled up in their nest.

"I guess I do." He mewed. He hung his head "What kind of leader completely loses the ability to make decisions when their deputy disappears?" He wondered aloud softly

Aspenkit was soon asleep.

“Because she isn’t just your deputy,” she said softly. “She’s your mate, and you love her.”
