Darksky snorted. “You talk. I’ve had enough of her for a lifetime.” She turned tail and stalked away.

“I think I need a more direct question,” Snowfrost said once Darksky was gone.

I don’t know what she’s playing at, Darksky thought angrily. She’s obviously had her kits, so now Blackblood won’t have an excuse for me to hurt her. At least there’s that.
