Bramblestar watched the exchange between warrior and apprentice. Huh... He got up, stretched and sat down again, blinking his eyes as if he just woke up. He groomed his shoulder before approaching Dustfur. "Hey, Dustfur." He greeted, "I was about to go practice some fighting techniques. Want to join me?"Dustfur dipped her head. "you're welcome." Dustfur's ears pricked. "Yes, of course!" She got up and gave her pelt a shake. "What kind of moves did you have in mind?"Bramblestar watched the exchange between warrior and apprentice. Huh... He shrugged. "I was just thinking we could do a mock fight and test each others skills. Nothing too specific."Dustfur's ears pricked. "Yes, of course!" She got up and gave her pelt a shake. "What kind of moves did you have in mind?"
Dustfur nodded. "Let's go!" She trotted off after Bramblestar to the training hollow. Ah, so this is a test...She thought. Her pelt prickled a bit with nervousness, but she never let herself get too carried away with her emotions. As she reached the hollow, she scanned it quickly, taking in everything. The sun was sinking slightly lower in the sky, and the old stump at the edge of the hollow was almost directly below it. She took this into consideration as she plotted her first move.He shrugged. He went into the middle of the hollow, not giving his surroundings so much as a glance. He had done so much battle training here that he knew the layout by heart. He proceeded into a battle stance, his tail tip twitching as he watched Dustfur through narrow, focused eyesDustfur nodded. "Let's go!" She trotted off after Bramblestar to the training hollow. Dustfur trotted to the edge of the clearing, her eyes darting back to the stump. She got into a much less tense position, shifting most of her weight on her back paws, her front paws resting lightly on the soil in front of her as she crouched. Then giving a deafening MEOOOWOWW she pushed off to the side with her strong hind legs and landed neatly on the stump. The sun shone to her back, but shone right in Bramblestar's eyes. He quickly swiveled his body to keep his front half facing her at all times. He narrowed his eyes further to block out the sun, keeping light on his paws and his muscles taut so he would be ready for anything. Tired of waiting for her to attack first, he quickly darted to one side, getting himself out of the sun, and rammed into her side, striking her stomach with his forepaws when she was knocked over from his weight crashing into herDustfur trotted to the edge of the clearing, her eyes darting back to the stump. Nightbird, meanwhile, lay flopped on her side, ear twitching occasionally. It was hard to tell whether she was asleep or not.Lionpaw jumped in glee. "That's great!" He glanced over where Nightbitd was, felt his pelt go hot, and quickly composed himself again. "I mean, that's great." He repeated, calmly
Hazelpaw went near where she was, holding a couple mice. She lingered uncertainly before twitching her ear and lating down a fox-length away.
