*Running with the Flood* A Warrior Cat RP~Open~

Prairiepaw perked her ears back at the training hollow. "do...do you smell that?" she asked her mentor. "It smells like do--" She flattened her ears. "Oh no." She raced back to camp as fast as she could run. Crashing through the undergrowth and bursting into camp, she flung herself at the nearest dog. She clamped down hard on its tail, but was whipped off and landed with a hard THUD. The wind was knocked out of herm, and as she struggled for air she saw a dog approaching the unguarded elder's den. Getting back to her paws, she tore over there and leapt onto the dog's back, this time with claws unsheathed, and clung on, digging her claws in deeper and deeper as the dog yelped in pain and tried to shake her off.

Sunstrike quickly raced after her apprentice and into the camp. She stared in shock for a second before leaping into the battle. She fought beside Prairiepaw, mainly to make sure that she wouldn't get hurt.
Nightbird whipped around, the fur along her spine sticking out as she took in the scene of the dogs barreling into camp. Her ears were against her head. Think! Don’t go near their jaws! What did Bramblestar say? Protect- protect the nursery! A dog was getting closer and closer to the nursery in its wild dash about camp. She crouched and lunged up, racing towards it and slashing at its flank.
The dog turned its attention toward her, its eyes lighting up in excitement. It barked and bounded after her, trying to catch her in between its massive jaws.
Dustfur latched onto the shoulder of one of the dogs. Hissing and clawing, she sunk her jaws deeper into its flesh.
The dog she attached herself yelped in pain. It was confused, having Bramblestar on its face, trying to claw at its eyes and another on its shoulder. It shook Bramblestar off, and he landed on the ground with a dull thud. The dog then bit at the cat on its shoulder, getting a satisfactory amount of cat-flesh in its jaws.

Hazelpaw was guarding the Elders den, looking a little nervous. She had never fought in a battle before, only healed cats afterward.
Lionpaw and Aspenpaw flung themselves bravely at the nearest dogs, their attacks in sync.

Prairiepaw fought the way she was best at— weaving quickly around the dog, dancing just out of reach, delivering precise and painful blows with her sharp claws, shouting snarky insults—it was quite disorienting to the poor clumsy dog.
The dog kept trying to bite her as she darted in, but she was too fast for the bulky beast. It huffed in annoyance and slight pain before getting bored with her and turning away to attack a much more interesting piece of prey. Bramblestar was still on the ground, dazed, when the dog walked up to him and wrapped its teeth around him. Terrified, he clawed at every inch of dog flesh he could reach while the beast slowly clamped down harder on his ribs

Nightbird’s eyes widened in fear. She hissed at it almost reflectively, and all her fur puffed up, making her ten times fluffier than usual. Run! RUN! She screamed at herself, but, between the muddled thoughts filled with terror, she got an idea. She scurried away, the dog’s teeth so close to her face that she could see its glistening throat. I can- I can do this. She tried desperately to convince herself. Then, she dashed towards the dog’s face, slapping a half-hearted paw at its muzzle. It snapped at her and then she turned and darted away, slightly out of reach but still close. The dog lumbered forward. She dashed between its legs and batted at its belly, then emerged near its front paws. The dog lunged at her, but she got out of its way just in time. Slowly, she was leading it right out of camp, as it focused on catching her it didn’t seem to notice.

The dog continued trying to grab her, so intent on catching her that it didn't notice when the other cat's noise and scent faded into the distance. Tired of the game they were playing, it lunged, catching her tail-tip in his teeth. Excited, it bit down and tasted a little blood

Moosepelt locked eyes with the beast that DARE attack his leader! He let out a huff of air.
Moosepelt charged.

very much like a moose. ( :gig )

Moosepelt, because of his large stature and great strength, attempted something most cats would find futile. With a ferocious yowl, he rammed his full weight into the dog's neck, hoping the impact was enough to make the dog release Bramblestar.

Nightbird yelped in pain. She writhed around wildly, hissing and clawing at the dog’s muzzle. A sudden, stupid idea burst into her mind. She pounced at the dog’s face, hoping it would release her tail to try and snap at her.

The dog was not prepared for a cat of Moosepelts size to ram into his neck. He dropped a weak and bleeding Bramblestar mainly because of surprise and turned on the cat who attacked him. He eyed the cat warily, getting a little tired of the constant tussle. Why wouldn't the cats just let them chew on them a little? That would make things a lot simpler.

Obviously her plan did not turn out the way she hoped. The dog merely got annoyed and shook his head violently, flinging her around by her tail as it did so.
Lionpaw heard Nightpaw yowl and dashed toward the sound. "Mouse-brain! You shouldn't take a dog on by yourself!" He hissed as he weaved around the dogs legs and aiming a few blows to unbalance it

Nightbird was finally able to yank her tail away due to Lionpaw’s distraction. It felt like it was on fire. She didn’t dare spare a look at her tail, instead leaping away to stand beside Lionpaw. “Forgive me for trying to lure the dog away from camp!” She growled in an undertone, not taking her eyes off the dog. We need to keep it out here, and preferably without any more tail grabbing. She darted forward and swiped at its legs before retreating to allow Lionpaw to attack.
