He saw her attempting to hide what was wrong but not doing a very good job at it. Tear streaks lined her face. It was everything he could do not to run into the den to check on the kits.

Sunstrike realized what a mess her pelt probably was, so she quickly slipped through the thorn tunnel and into the forest where she could groom herself without anyone noticing how she looked right then. On her way toward a certain tree, she passed her sisters grave and sat down heavily. "Hey, Rainpaw. I hope all is well. I know you're about to accept yet another great cat into your ranks... but I wish you wouldn't. You know as well as I do that he is the only father I have. But that's not going to stop you. For some reason only you know, you have to strip his final life away." She broke down, sobbing. Luckily for her, her sister was buried far away from all the main trails, so she was free to grieve in peace

She saw through the fake expression but didn’t challenge her.

He watched her slip off through the thorn tunnel and turned toward Snowfrost, "Im going to go check on her," he informed her and slipped off through the tunnel as well, barely fitting. He made sure not to be seen but not to lose her. She finally stopped at a secluded spot in the woods and started crying. In front of her, there was a mound, like a grave.

(It's fine, I know my art skills are not that great. I really only know how to draw short-haired cats, but I'll try and see if I can make it long-haired)

"It could be." She replied, intentionally vague. "But you're doing an awful job." She kept an even, cool tone, but in reality she could barely stop herself from bursting into laughter.
 
Prairiepaw looked at the gathering of cats outside the leader's den. As hyper-observent as she was, she could instantly tell what was happening. "Holy Crap." She breathed. She raced to find Falconpaw in a panic. "HEY! BRAMBLESTAR IS DYING!" She whisper-screamed in his face.
