Lilyflight's ears heard Sunpaw's panicked voice coming from Robinstar's den. Has something happened? she fretted. As fast as she could, with the kits squirming restlessly, she hurried into Robinstar's den.
When Sunpaw saw her, she raced to her side and pressed into her fur, trembling
Lilyflight licked her ears all over. "What's happened?" she demanded?
"Dark Forest, Blackpaw, Fangheart, trying to kill me." Was all she could manage.
"Blackpaw tried to kill you?" In disbelief, Lilyflight held Sunpaw close.
Robinstar nodded darkly.
"When I got my paws on that apprentice..." Lilyflight spat angrily.
Sunpaw trembled harder and mewed "He can't know I told anybody, more likely I die."
"Then my excuse for ripping his throat out will be that he forgot to bring me my fresh-kill."
Sunpaw realized something and mewed "I can't go back to sleep, I'll just keep going back there."
In spite of everything, Robinstar smiled.
Lilyflight sighed. "This is what I was worried about," she murmured.
