She smiled and nodded, understanding. "Spend all the time you want with her." She cast a glance over her shoulder to make sure that Rainkit and Thistlekit were behaving before turning to face him again. "Although I would appreciate it if you did the dawn patrol tomorrow, if you don't mind."
Rainkit saw she was distracted and mewed to Thistlekit, "Do you wanna go cause some mischief?" He nodded and they slipped out of the nursery and into the clearing.
“Of course not, could I stay here overnight though? I don’t want to leave Whiteshine yet.” He glanced at her.
"Sure, I can't imagine it would disturb anyone," she agreed. "And I know that you'll want to be with her more, so I'll try to spare you from as many patrols as I can."
Whiteshine blinked at her gratefully
“Thanks!” He padded over and curled next to her. “Isn’t Lilyflight great to let me stay?”
Whiteshine nodded, feeling happy
She gave her friend a small nod. Then suddenly she realized it was quiet. Too quiet. Groaning slightly, afraid of what she would find (or rather, not find), Lilyflight turned her head to look over her shoulder again. Sure enough, the kits were gone. "Great StarClan!" she muttered irritably.
"Somewhere where it's not supposed to be," Lilyflight answered as she padded outside, scanning the camp for her kits.
