Lilyflight walked around, looking everywhere, but they were nowhere to be seen. She was starting to get worried now. How long had they been missing? Could a hawk or fox have gotten them? Panicked slightly, she started calling their names.

Sunshine stood up and trotted out. “Rainkit! Thistlekit! Where did you go?”

"You nearly gave me a heart attack," she scolded fiercely. "And look at this mess you've made! Don't you think Feathersky has better things to do than clean up after misbehaving kits? You two are going straight back to the nursery, and I don't want to hear any complaints." Lilyflight went over to check on Owlkit before turning to Sunshine. "I know it's a lot to ask... But would you mind watching them while I feed Owlkit and try to clean some of this up?"

Owlkit sat in the nursery and lay there, immobile. Every part of her body was aching especially her leg that was burning with pain Feathersky was re-dressing her wounds inside the nursery.
