"I'm sure they will," she promised her as she lay on the moss and brought Rainkit and Thistlekit closer. "They're warriors now, and I'm sure they can manage anything." She touched her nose to Rainkit's head. "How was your night?" she asked Thistlekit. "Did you behave?"

"Goodnight." Thistlekit mewed, laying his head down and falling asleep. Rainkit left the nursery and went to where Batkit was still having his vision.
