He laughed and said "Okay, I see your going to be stubborn. I was going to let you choose hunting or border, let you lead it, then I was going to lead whichever you didn't choose."

He laughed harder and said "C'mon I just started! Give me some slack! You can choose whichever cats you want to go with you, except for me. I have to lead a hunting patrol now."

She purred loudly. "Okay then, deputy," she mewed playfuly, flicking his ear with her tail. "Would it be a good idea to take Blackpaw? I think he hates me right now, but I don't want to leave him here..."

"Ah, but you see, he can't leave camp, unless you've got some fast runners on your patrol to chase him down if he decides to run off." He mewed, flicking her ear back.

"Hmm.." she said thoughtfully. "Maybe I'll take Whiteshine and Sunpaw, and leave Blackpaw here. That should leave you with enough cats for a decent hunting patrol, and someone to discretely watch Blackpaw."

"Okay, that sounds good. Have fun!" he meowed as he ran off to find Sunshine to guard Blackpaw and Strikewhisper to come with him.

She turned and found Sunpaw. "Sorry," she murmured. "I didn't want to exclude you... But I could ask Whiteshine if she and you could come on a border patrol?"
